Special Order made by the Parihaka Road Board.

THE following special order, made by the Parihaka Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

PARIHAKA ROAD BOARD.—NGARIKI ROAD NO. 2 LOAN.
Special Order.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and subsection (2) of section 68 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and amendments respectively, the Parihaka Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £322, being 10 per cent. additional on a previous loan of £3,224, authorised to be raised by the Parihaka Road Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of forming, metalling, draining, and culverting the Ngāriki Road from the Main South Road to the forest reserve, the said Parihaka Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Ngāriki Road Loan, comprising all that continuous area within the Parihaka Road Board District —viz., Sub. 1 (Ngātituhēkerangi), Block I; Sub. 2 (Ngātituhēkerangi), Blocks I and II; Subs. 3, 4, 5, 6, 2, of Section 1, Subs. 1, 2, and 3 of Section 42 (Ngātituhēkerangi), Block II; Subs. 1 and 2 of Section 2 (Ngātituhēkerangi), Block III; Sections 16, 17, 18, 19, and 1 of Block III; Section 3, Subs. 12 and 13 of Block IV; Subs. 11, 10, 9, and 8 of Block III; Sections 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, and 4 of Block II; and Section 103 of Block I; all of which said lands are situated in the Opunake Survey District and constituting the Ngāriki Special-rating District: and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate as security for the interest and sinking fund in connection with such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years at £5 per centum per annum, or until the loan is fully paid off. This resolution will be confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the Board on Wednesday, the 11th day of April, 1906, at 11 a.m.
