Weighted with £7 10s., valuation for improvements.

Open kamahi forest land, with scattered rimu, kahikatea, matai, totara, miro, rata, and hinau. One hundred acres fair land, slightly wet; 150 acres fairly flat, but inferior; balance broken. Watered by small creeks. The improvements consist of 3 acres of clearing. Altitude, 350ft. to 450ft. above sea-level. Access by main Greenstone dray-road from Kumara to Morgan Road, thence one mile and a quarter by that road, three-quarters of a mile of which has been partly formed. Distance from Kumara, about ten miles.

Heavily timbered bush land. The timber consists of rimu, miro, kahikatea, matai, totara, hinau, and rata. Twenty-five acres fair land, 200 acres of inferior land (flat to slightly undulating), remainder broken country. Altitude, 350ft. to 600ft. above sea-level. Access from Kumara by main Greenstone dray-road to Morgan Road, ten miles, and by that road for three miles and a quarter.

Heavily timbered bush land. The timber consists of rimu, miro, kahikatea, matai, totara, hinau, and rata. Fifty acres fair land, 100 acres broken inferior land, remainder abrupt sandstone bluffs, terraces, and spurs. Altitude, 400ft. to 600ft. above sea-level. Access from Kumara by main Greenstone dray-road to Morgan Road, thence by that road three miles and a quarter, of which two miles and a half is unformed. Distance from Kumara, thirteen miles and a quarter.

Heavily timbered bush land. The timber consists of rimu, miro, kahikatea, matai, totara, hinau, and rata. Land broken, with high ridges and spurs, and in places precipitous sandstone bluffs. With the exception of a few acres of creek-bottom land on Morgan Creek it is poor, and wet in places. Altitude, 700ft. to 900ft. above sea-level. Access from Kumara by main Greenstone dray-road, ten miles, and three miles and three-quarters by Morgan Road; of which three-quarters of a mile is constructed. Distance, thirteen miles and three-quarters.

Open kamahi bush land, with scattered rimu, miro, and kahikatea of fair size, and small totara and hinau. Land is fairly flat, but slightly broken, especially in south-east corner, with inferior, wet, shallow soil, on thin cement sub-soil; well watered by small creeks. Altitude, 400ft. above sea-level. Access from Kumara by dray-road, nine miles.

Open kamahi bush land, with scattered rimu, miro, kahikatea, totara, hinau, and rata of good size. There is about 30 acres of good dry land, with good soil, and 90 acres of fairly flat inferior land, the remainder being rather broken; well watered. Altitude, 400ft. to 500ft. above sea-level. Access by dray-road to Kumara, ten miles, or by dray-road to Lake Brunner (four miles) and across lake (six miles) to Moana Railway-station.

Forest land, with scattered heavy rimu, miro, matai, kahikatea, totara, hinau, and rata. About 50 acres level land, with good soil; 100 acres rather broken and inferior; remainder steep mountain-slopes, with fair soil in patches. The aspect is good. Altitude, 400ft. to 900ft. above sea-level. Access by main Greenstone dray-road from Kumara, nine miles.

Forest land, with part scattered heavy timber, and part vines, supplejacks, cattle-feed, &c., being second growth on old landslip. Chiefly broken land, some very broken. Altitude, 300ft. to 600ft. above sea-level. Access to Lake Brunner by Greenstone dray-road, one mile and a half, and across the lake, six miles, to Moana Railway-station.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the forty-fifth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the local authority specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto to have the control and management of the public cemetery specified in the second column of the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres, more or less, being Section No. 69 of the Parish of Waitara. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 25 of the Parish of Waitara, 501 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 613 links; and towards the south-west and north-west by Section No. 26 of the Parish of Waitara, 500 links and 588 links respectively, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L and S. 38271, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. |
