Access by main Greenstone dray-road from Kumara to Morgan Road, thence one mile and a quarter by that road, three-quarters of a mile of which has been partly formed. Distance from Kumara, about ten miles.

Distance from Kumara, thirteen miles and a quarter.

With the exception of a few acres of creek-bottom land on Morgan Creek it is poor, and wet in places. Altitude, 700ft. to 900ft. above sea-level. Access from Kumara by main Greenstone dray-road, ten miles, and three miles and three-quarters by Morgan Road; of which three-quarters of a mile is constructed. Distance, thirteen miles and three-quarters.

Access by dray-road to Kumara, ten miles, or by dray-road to Lake Brunner (four miles) and across lake (six miles) to Moana Railway-station.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the forty-fifth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the local authority specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto to have the control and management of the public cemetery specified in the second column of the said Schedule.

Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 25 of the Parish of Waitara, 501 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 613 links; and towards the south-west and north-west by Section No. 26 of the Parish of Waitara, 500 links and 588 links respectively, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L and S. 38271, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. |
