THE following special order, made by the Southland County Council, is published for general information.

SOUTHLAND COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
RESOLUTION passed on 22nd day of November, 1905, and carried unanimously:—
That this Council do by this special order dissolve the Tuturau Road Board and merge the Tuturau Road District in Southland County under sections 53, 54, and 55 of “The Counties Act, 1886,” and in terms of the petition duly advertised and presented, the said petition being in conformity with the requirements of the said Act. This special order to come into force on the 1st day of April, 1906.
The above was publicly notified in the Southern Standard newspaper on the 15th, 22nd, and 29th days of December, 1905, and the 5th day of January, 1906.
Copy of resolution passed on 12th day of January, 1906, and carried unanimously:—
That this Council hereby confirms the special order as contained in Resolution No. 1 of 22nd day of November, 1905, dissolving the Tuturau Road Board and merging the Tuturau Road District in Southland County, as on and after the 1st day of April, 1906, under the provisions of sections 53, 54, and 55 of “The Counties Act, 1886,” and in terms of the petition duly advertised and presented, said petition being in conformity with the requirements of the said Act.
I hereby certify that the above special order has been made in accordance with “The Counties Act, 1886.”

Special Order made by the Council of the Borough of Stratford.

THE following special order, made by the Stratford Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” in substitution for that gazetted on page 28 of the New Zealand Gazette, 1906.

STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Copy of Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested on it in that behalf by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” the Council of the Borough of Stratford hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200, authorised to be raised by the Stratford Borough Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for drainage purposes, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/30d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property in the Borough of Stratford; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Stratford Borough Council held on the 16th day of October, 1905, and confirmed at a meeting of the said Council held on the 13th day of November, 1905.
