Mount Arthur Survey District; thence in a westerly direction along the northern boundaries of Sections 45 and 1; thence in a southerly direction along the western boundaries of Sections 1, 2, 11, and 21 to the south corner of Section 7; thence in a westerly direction along the northern boundaries of Sections 22 and 24 to the southern corner of Section 16; thence along the south-west boundary of Section 16 to the most western point thereof; thence in a line due west to the county-boundary; thence in a south-westerly direction along the county-boundary to a point due west of the western corner of Section 20, Block X, Wangapeka Survey District; thence in a straight line due east to the western corner of the said Section 20; thence in a north-easterly direction along the north-western boundaries of aforesaid Section 20 and Sections 19 and 18 to the northern corner of Section 18; thence in a straight line to the south corner of Section 22, Block VI; thence in a straight line to Trig. “E,” in Block VII; thence along the south boundary of Section 12, and the south-east boundaries of Sections 12 and 13, and the north-east boundary of said Section 13 to the north-east corner of Section 9, Block VII, Wangapeka Survey District; thence in a straight line to Trig. “B” on the south-east boundary of Section 12, Block III; thence along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 12, 14, and 13, and the southern boundaries of Sections 12, 8, 7, 6, and 144, Block IV; thence along the south-east boundaries of Sections 4 and 3, Block IV, to the Motueka River; thence along the western bank of the Motueka River to the starting-point: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I certify the foregoing to be a true copy of a resolution passed by the Waimea County Council at a special meeting held on the 5th day of July, 1906, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Council held on the 2nd day of August, 1906.

LEVELS COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Meeting held at 12.15 p.m. on the 1st day of August, 1906.
Resolution No. 1.
PROPOSED by F. J. Le Cren, seconded by T. B. Garrick:—
That the resolution passed at a special meeting of the Council held on the 16th day of June, 1906, in the following terms, viz.,—
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Levels County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £600, authorised to be raised by the Levels County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of construction of water-races in the Tengawai-Opihi Water-supply District, the said Levels County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Tengawai-Opihi Water-supply District, comprising all that piece of land commencing on the western boundary of Rural Section 5445 at the intersection of said boundary with the terrace forming the northern boundary of said section; thence easterly along the northern boundaries of Rural Sections 5445, 15469, 22786, 29924, 19677, and 19369 to a point on last-named section 20 chains distant from and measured at right angles to the road forming the southern boundary of Rural Section 20263; thence south-easterly following a line parallel with said road 20 chains distant from and measured at right angles to the same, and intersecting the following sections—viz., 19369, 19370, 21138, 23758, 23238, 22565, 18130, 23302, 7664—to the terrace bounding the Tengawai River; thence westerly for a distance of 27 chains measured along the terrace of the said river to the main road forming the southern boundary of Rural Section 7664; thence westerly along the terrace of the said river to a creek forming the south-western boundary of Rural Section 4196 opposite to Rural Section 11062;
thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Rural Section 4196 to a point on the northern boundary of Rural Section 11062, 20 chains distant from and measured at right angles to the main road forming the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section 4196; thence north-westerly along a line parallel with the said main road to a point opposite to the intersection of the south-western boundary of Rural Section 23863 with the said main road; thence north-westerly intersecting Rural Section 4196 along a line parallel with and 20 chains distant from the south-western boundaries of the following rural sections—23862, 16600, 22684, 24029, 22803, 22685—to the road forming the boundary between Rural Sections 8845 and 4196, and being 20 chains south-west of the south-western boundary of Rural Section 22685 measured at right angles thereto; thence north-westerly along a line parallel with the south-western boundary of Rural Section 10733 and 20 chains distant therefrom measured at right angles thereto and intersecting Rural Sections 8845 and 12440 to a road forming the north-western boundary of Rural Section 12440; thence north-easterly along the road forming the north-western boundaries of Rural Sections 12440 and 8845 to the south-western boundary of Rural Section 10733; thence north-westerly along a line being the production of the south-western boundary of Rural Section 10733 and intersecting Rural Sections 15469 and 5445 to the western boundary of the last-named section; thence northerly along the western boundary of Rural Section 5445 to the starting-point: save and except the whole area of Rural Section 22685, containing by admeasurement the area of 60 acres, which is excluded from the said water supply district: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of November and the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off—

Customs Regulations for the New Zealand International Exhibition, 1906.

THE following regulations for the custody and control of exhibits in the New Zealand Exhibition, 1906, are published for general information.

THE NEW ZEALAND INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION, 1906.
Customs Regulations and Conditions approved by the Hon. the Commissioner of Trade and Customs for the Custody and Control of Exhibits in the New Zealand Exhibition, 1906.
- The Exhibition building will be approved and appointed to be a bonded warehouse under the Crown lock; goods to be received into and delivered from the Exhibition building on conditions prescribed by the Customs Regulations.
- Duplicate invoices, containing detailed description and value of exhibits, to be produced, which invoices will be stamped by the Customs. One copy will be returned to the exhibitor and one copy retained by the Customs.
- Exhibits to be unpacked in the presence of the Customs officers and checked against stamped invoices.
- Before goods are removed from the examination-shed to the Exhibition building exhibitors to indicate the particular packages which contain goods intended for sale. These to be placed in a separate compartment of the Exhibition building, or in an examining-shed, or ordinary bonded warehouse, for examination by the Customs.
- Duty to be paid by deposit on articles intended for sale before they can be permitted to be exhibited.
- Jewellery and other valuable dutiable goods intended for exhibition only, and not for sale, may be exhibited in show-cases secured under the Customs seal.
- At the close of the Exhibition all dutiable goods to be packed in the presence of a Customs officer, who will be required to certify that they agree with the invoice tendered with them on importation before they can be delivered for exportation from the colony.
- An enclosed separate office for the exclusive use of the Customs, with necessary office furniture, to be provided in the Exhibition building. The Customs officers will not have custody of, or be in any way responsible for, goods in the Exhibition building. They will be present simply as revenue officers.
