East Taieri Survey District, and being bounded as follows: Commencing from a point at the junction of the western and northern boundaries of said Section 21; thence easterly by a line at a bearing of 67° 50', a distance of 1500 links; thence south-westerly by a line at a bearing of 231° 8', a distance of 261 links; thence westerly by a line at a bearing of 247° 50', a distance of 1000 links; thence north-westerly by a line bearing 264° 32', a distance of 261 links, to the commencing-point: as the said parcel of land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 14501, deposited in the office of the Minister for Railways, at Wellington, and thereon coloured purple.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

Closing Government Roads in Woodside Runs, Whernside and Cape Campbell Survey Districts, Awatere Road District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three, (a), of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation publicly notified, stop or alter the course of any Government road or any part thereof:

And whereas the Government roads described in the Schedule hereto are no longer required for the purpose of roads in Block X, Whernside, and Block XVIII, Cape Campbell Survey Districts:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim as stopped the roads in Block X, Whernside, and Block XVIII, Cape Campbell Survey Districts, hereinafter described.

Declaring that certain Education Reserves in Auckland Land District shall be sold.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the two-hundred-and-forty-third section of “The Land Act, 1892,” and of every other power and authority enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and at the request of the School Commissioners of the Auckland Provincial District, in whom the lands herein described are vested, doth hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto, which have been reserved for educational purposes, shall be sold, subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”


SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Lot No. 243, Town of Hokianga, area 24 perches; and Lot No. 246, Town of Hokianga, area 22 perches.

Native Land proposed to be taken for a Road-approach to Bridge in Whatatutu B2, Block XI, Mangatu Survey District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of July, 1906.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work, to wit, for the purpose of a road-approach to bridge in Whatatutu B2, Block XI, Mangatu Survey District:

And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown:

And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the said land, as required by the eighty-ninth section of “The Public Works Act, 1905”:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the eighty-ninth section of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purpose of the said road-approach, and the said land shall vest in His Majesty the King, as from the first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and six.
