Lands proclaimed as a Road, and Road closed, in Sections 237, 238, 239, Blocks II and III, Matakohe Survey District, Parish of Mareretu, Mareretu Road District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of "The Land Act, 1892," and its amendments, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the owner and lessees and of the mortgagees of the lands mentioned in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Mareretu Road Board, being the local authority in whose district the said lands are situated, proclaim as a road the lands in Matakohe Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto, which is not required by reason of the road first hereinbefore proclaimed.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto to is required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act, 1905," for a certain work, to wit, for the purpose of a playground for the Brooklyn Public School in Section 12, Ohiro District:

And whereas the Education Board of the District of Wellington has laid before the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by "The Public Works Act, 1905":

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by "The Public Works Act, 1905," and of all other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purpose of a playground.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in the Borough of Mosgiel.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway at Mosgiel, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:

And whereas it has been certified by the Minister for Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the Borough of Mosgiel, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation:

And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said road:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section one hundred and ninety-seven of "The Public Works Act, 1905," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Mosgiel Borough Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Land District of Otago, containing 3 roods 30 perches, more or less, being portions of Sections 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21, Stuart Town (irregular block),
