ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of July, 1906.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work, to wit, for the purpose of a road-approach to bridge in Whatatutu B2, Block XI, Mangatu Survey District:
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown:
And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the said land, as required by the eighty-ninth section of “The Public Works Act, 1905”:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the eighty-ninth section of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purpose of the said road-approach, and the said land shall vest in His Majesty the King, as from the first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and six.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a Government road.

SCHEDULE.
MATAIMOANA ROAD.
ALL that road in the Taranaki Land District, Wairoa Road District, being part of the Mataimoana Road, from its junction with the Nuhukau Road at the south-east corner of Section 10, Block XII, Opaku Survey District, and proceeding thence in a general north-easterly direction for a distance of 2 miles 49 chains, or thereabouts, along the frontage of Sections 10 and 3, Block XII, Opaku, to a point 69 chains, or thereabouts, by the road from the north-west corner of and along the frontage of Section 3, Block IX, Kapara; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 707, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red, and lettered AB.
