hereinafter described will be brought under the pro-
visions of “The Land Transfer Act, 1885,” and its amend-
ments, unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same within
one month from the publication hereof.

NOTICE OF INTENTION

Of the District of Wellington Hospital Board to take Land
for the Purpose of the Hospital already erected at or in
the Neighbourhood of Otaki, and forming the Site thereof,
and the Grounds necessary for the Use, Convenience, and
Enjoyment of the same. And also to take Land at or in
the Neighbourhood of Otaki for the Purpose of a Hospital
or Sanatorium for Consumptive Patients, in process of
Erection, or about to be erected, in the Neighbourhood of
Otaki, and being necessary for the Use, Convenience, and
Enjoyment of the same.

NOTICE is hereby given that certain land is required
by the District of Wellington Hospital Board for the
purpose of the establishment of the hospital already erected
at or in the neighbourhood of Otaki, and forming the site
thereof, and the grounds necessary for the convenience and
enjoyment of the same, and that for such purpose the land
firstly described in the Schedule hereto is required to be
taken under the provisions of “The Public Works Act,
1905.” And notice is hereby further given that certain
land is required by the District of Wellington Hospital
Board for the purpose of establishing a hospital or sana-
torium for consumptive patients, in process of erection, or
about to be erected, at or in the neighbourhood of Otaki,
and the grounds necessary for the convenience or enjoyment
of the same, and that for such purpose the land secondly
described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken
under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1905.”
And notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the
lands so required to be taken, together with the names of
the owners and occupiers of such lands respectively so far
as they can be ascertained, signed by Harold Smith,
Authorised Surveyor, Featherston Street, Wellington, is
deposited in the Otaki Road Board Office, at Otaki, and is
there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by
the taking of the said lands or the execution of such works
are hereby called upon, if they have any well-grounded
objections thereto, to set forth such objections in writing,
and send such writing, within forty days from the 11th day
of July, 1906, being the date of the first publication of this
notice, to Samuel Robinson, of Featherston Street, Welling-
ton, Secretary to the District of Wellington Hospital Board.

SCHEDULE.

FIRSTLY.—All that piece or parcel of land, containing 12 acres
3 roods 20 perches, situate in the Horowhenua County, and
forming part of what is known as “Church Missionary
Grant,” being part of Block IX, Waitohu Survey District,
bounded as follows: The point of departure situate north-
easterly on a bearing of 26 deg. 30 min., 346 links from
Titokitoki old trig., and bounded on the north-east by a
line extending from that point on a bearing of 121 deg.
south-easterly, 1050 links; thence towards the south-east
by a line extending south-westerly 194 deg. 5 min., 643 links;
thence towards the west by the Makuratawhiti Stream; then
commencing again at the starting-point, bounded north-
westcrly by a line from thence extending 598 links, 271 deg.
25 min.; and thence by a line south-westerly, 255 links,
220 deg..45 min., to the Makuratawhiti Stream aforesaid.

Secondly.—All that piece or parcel of land, containing
26 acres and 34 perches, forming part of the said Church
Mission Grant, Block IX, Waitohu Survey District, bounded
as follows: Commencing at a point being the south-east
corner peg of Titokitoki B2, and bounded on the north-west
by the south-east boundary of Titokitoki B2, on the north-
east by the south-west boundary of Haruatai No. 7, on the
south-east by the north-west boundary of Haruatai No. 2,
on the south by the Makuratawhiti Stream to the boundary
of the land firstly above described, thence on the west,
south-west, and south-east by the boundaries of the land
firstly above described, and thence again on the north-west
by other part of Church Mission Grant to the point of com-
mencement.

THE following are the charges for slaughtering and
inspecting stock at the Hawera Borough Abattoir,
which has been registered, under No. Ab. 14, as the abattoir
within the meaning of “The Slaughtering and Inspection
Act, 1900,” for the Borough of Hawera, instead of the
scale contained in the notice dated the 1st day of February,
1905, signed by me, and published in the New Zealand
Gazette of the 9th day of February, 1905, namely:—

Under the provisions of “The Water-supply Act Amend-
ment Act, 1898.”

THE Featherston County Council has, by special order
made on the 8th day of June, 1906, and confirmed on
the 13th day of July, 1906, appointed Messrs. HUGH MACKAY
and FARQUAR McLEOD, of Martinborough, Farmers, to be
managing ratepayers of the Dry River Water-race District,
in place of Messrs. Arthur Robinson and Harry Hawtin,
resigned.
