AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE CITY OF WELLINGTON AND INCLUDED IN THE BOROUGH OF MIRAMAR.
The part of Allotment No. 45 lying on the west of the present western boundary of the Borough of Miramar; parts of Allotments Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 4A, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 lying on the west of the present western boundary of the Borough of Miramar; and the area lying between the production of the western boundary-line of Allotment No. 19 in a southerly direction and the present western boundary of the Borough of Miramar: as the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 55530, deposited at the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
SECOND SCHEDULE.

The part of Allotment No. 46 lying on the east of the present eastern boundary of the City of Wellington, and the area lying between the present eastern boundary of the City of Wellington and the western boundaries of Allotments Nos. 18 and 19; as the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 55530, deposited at the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration in the Boundaries of the City of Christchurch.

PURSUANT to section 176 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” His Excellency the Governor directs it to be notified that a petition in accordance with regulations, signed by not less than one-fourth of the electors of the area described in the Schedule hereto, situated in the Heathcote Road District, County of Selwyn, has been presented to him praying that the said area may be included in the City of Christchurch; such area to be added to the Sydenham Ward of the said city. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to, or petitions against, the proposed alteration within one month from the first publication of this notice; such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Colonial Secretary, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE ADDED TO THE CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, situated in Christchurch Survey District, bounded towards the north by the northern side of Tennyson Street from Colombo Street to the Heathcote River; thence towards the east, south, and west generally by the said Heathcote River to the eastern side of Colombo Street; and thence by the said eastern side of Colombo Street to the northern side of Tennyson Street, the place of commencement.

I hereby give notice that the number of votes recorded upon the taking of the poll on the 18th instant for and against the proposals of the Council of the City of Wellington set out below was as follows:—
- General electric-light-installation works, £100,000
- Additions to public street lighting, £10,000
- Power-supply for lifts, machinery, &c., £30,000
- Purchase of engine, dynamo, &c., for tramway extensions, £21,000
- Purchase of additional cars, £25,000
- Compensation claim, McArdle, for land for power-house extension, £3,182
- Amount to close original Tramways Construction Capital Account, £2,870
- Laying tramway through Charlotte Street, £2,000
- Constructing loop-line, Victoria Street, £1,100
- Purchase present central library for tramway and electric light and power offices, £6,000

MIDDLE CHANNEL INTO BROADMOUNT HARBOUR, FITZROY RIVER.
Notice is hereby given that the small sandbank in No. 3 lead, Middle Channel, Fitzroy River, having grown to the southward, the depth in the centre of the lead is now only 7 ft. 6 in. Masters are therefore recommended to keep the dolphins of this lead open their own width to the southward, when a depth of 19 ft. at low water will be obtained.

Notice to Mariners No. 59 of 1906.
ALTERATION IN LIGHT ON JACK’S POINT, TIMARU.

Wellington, N.Z., 20th July, 1906.
NOTICE is hereby given that on and after the 23rd August, 1906, the fixed white light on Jack’s Point will be changed to an occulting light every 10 seconds, the light showing for 7 seconds, with dark interval of 3 seconds. The light will be an incandescent light, but no change will be made in its colour, height, or order.
