Declaring Road-lines through Land in the Steward Settlement to be closed.
PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS a report has been received from the Surveyor-General from which it appears that the roads described in the Schedule hereto are unformed and unused, and that they intersect land acquired under “The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900,” and are not suitable for the subdivision of such land:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of section sixty-nine of the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do by this notice hereby close the roads hereinafter described, and I do hereby declare that they shall thereupon become subject to the said Act.

All in the Otago Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked as above mentioned, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above noted.

Notice exempting Crown Land from the Provisions of the Mining Acts.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by paragraph (b) of subsection one of section nineteen of “The Mining Act, 1905,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, as from the day of the date hereof, exempt that area of Crown land situated in the Hauraki Mining District described in the Schedule hereto from mining on the surface or within fifty feet from the surface thereof, except for the purpose of constructing ventilating-shafts or pumping-shafts.
SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF SECTION 15, HIGH SCHOOL ENDOWMENT, WAIORONGOMAI.
All that parcel of land within the Hauraki Mining District, containing by admeasurement 171 acres 3 roods 25 perches, more or less, being Section 15 of the subdivision into sections of a portion of the Thames High School Endowment Reserve, situate at Waiorongomai, in the Te Aroha Survey District, which said Section 15, commencing at the northernmost corner thereof, is bounded towards the north-east by other part of the said endowment reserve, 5411 links; towards the south-east by Section 14 of the said subdivision, 3177 links; towards the south-west by a road reserve, 5411 links; and towards the north-west by a road reserve to the point of commencement, 3177 links.
As witness my hand, this fourteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and six.

Postmaster appointed to take and receive Statutory Declarations.
PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the eighth section of “The Justices of the Peace Act Amendment Act, 1888,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that
AGNES BEATRICE MCCLEAN,
being a person holding the office of Postmaster under “The Post Office Act, 1900,” at Kaiwaka, is authorised to take and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-thirty-fourth section of “The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882.”
As witness my hand, this twentieth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and six.
