Authorising the Exchange of a Reserve in Canterbury for other Land.


PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twelfth day of July, 1906.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereto was permanently reserved for gravel purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to exchange the said land for that described in the second column of the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” and the third section of “The Public Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1889,” doth hereby declare that the said reserve described in the first column of the Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the land described in the second column of the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

Description of Reserve intended to be exchanged. Description of Land to be obtained in Exchange therefor.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, situated in Block II, Mairaki Survey District, being Section No. 1253 (in red). Bounded towards the north-west by Rural Section No. 24241, towards the north-east by a road-line, and towards the south by Rural Section No. 13987: save and except a road-line passing through the above-described land: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 55269, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, situated in Block II, Mairaki Survey District, and being part of Rural Section No. 13987. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 1253 (in red), 944 links; towards the north-east by a road-line, 602·7 links; towards the south by a road-line, 1280·4 links; and towards the west by other part of Rural Section 13987, 500 links: save and except therefrom a road-line passing through the section for which allowance has been made in the area. Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, situated in Block II, Mairaki Survey District, and being part of Rural Section No. 24241. Bounded towards the north by other part of Rural Section No. 24241, 745 links; towards the east by other part of the said section, 500 links; towards the south by a road-line, 1254·4 links; and towards the north-west by a road-line, 713·4 links. Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same are delineated on the plan marked S.G. 55269, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Native Land proposed to be taken for a Road-approach to Bridge in Whatatutu B2, Block XI, Mangatu Survey District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of July, 1906.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work, to wit, for the purpose of a road-approach to bridge in Whatatutu B2, Block XI, Mangatu Survey District:

And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown:

And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the said land, as required by the eighty-ninth section of “The Public Works Act, 1905”:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the eighty-ninth section of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purpose of the said road-approach, and the said land shall vest in His Majesty the King, as from the first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and six.

Native Lands proposed to be taken for the Establishment of a Hospital or Sanatorium near Otaki, in Titokitoki and Waitohu Blocks, Block IX, Waitohu Survey District.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of July, 1906.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken for a public work, to wit, for the purpose of establishing a hospital or sanatorium for the cure of consumptive patients in Titokitoki and Waitohu Blocks, Block IX, Waitohu Survey District:

And whereas the said lands are held or occupied by Native owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown:

And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the said lands, as required by the eighty-ninth section of “The Public Works Act, 1905”:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by the eighty-ninth section of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the lands shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purpose of the establishment of the said hospital or sanatorium for the cure of consumptive patients; and the said lands shall vest in the District of Wellington Hospital Board as from the fifth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and six.
