Lands taken for a Hospital or Sanatorium near Otaki, in
Block IX, Waiotu Survey District, Horowhenua County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule here-
to are required to be taken, under “The Public
Works Act, 1905.” for a certain work, to wit, for the pur-
pose of establishing a hospital or sanatorium for the cure
of consumptive patients at or near Otaki, in Block IX,
Waiotu Survey District:

And whereas the District of Wellington Hospital Board
has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by
a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by
the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by
“The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the
publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands
mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the
purposes of the construction of and establishment of the
said hospital or sanatorium, and shall thereupon vest in the
District of Wellington Hospital Board.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured
as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Chief
Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land
District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight
Commander of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight
Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Go-
vernor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His
Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its De-
pendencies; and issued under the Seal of the said
Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington,
this twentieth day of July, in the year of our
Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the twenty-third section of “The Land
Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor, by Pro-
clamation in the Gazette, may from time to time establish
and define, abolish, alter, or reconstitute local districts for
the sale or disposal of land, and in like manner from time to
time may appoint land offices, and land officers or other
persons for conducting sales of land in such local districts,
and for receiving applications for the sale, letting, disposal,
or occupation of Crown lands, and for generally carrying
into effect the provisions of the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby pro-
claim and declare that the district described in the
Schedule hereto is hereby established, defined, and con-
stituted a local district for the sale and disposal of land
under the said Act, and that the Local Land Office the name
of which is in the said Schedule set opposite the name of
the said local district is appointed the Land Office for the
said local district.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, being the County of Rotorua, as described in subsection (3) of section 6 of “The Counties Act, 1886.” Principal Land Office, Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the seventy-third section of “The Local
Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901” (herein termed “the said
Act”), it is, amongst other things, enacted that before
certain moneys therein mentioned shall be expended upon
any block of land it shall be necessary that the same be
proclaimed as set apart for settlement:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power
and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the pur-
poses of the said Act, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim
the land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for
settlement.
