Polling-places for Westland Electoral District appointed.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN exercise of the powers conferred upon me by “The Electoral Act, 1905,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish all existing polling-places in the Electoral District of Westland, and do hereby appoint the places mentioned in the Schedule hereto to be polling-places for the said Electoral District of Westland.

Vaccination-station appointed.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by subsection three of section one hundred and thirty-nine of “The Public Health Act, 1900,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint McDowell’s Accommodation-house, Horse Terrace, in the Lyell Vaccination District, to be a vaccination-station at which vaccination will be performed by the Public Vaccinator.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-ninth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and six.

Rural Lands in Southland Land District open for Selection on Lease in Perpetuity.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on and after the twenty-first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and six; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may be selected on lease in perpetuity only, in accordance with the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-one of the said Act, as they contain, or are supposed to contain, metals, minerals, or valuable stone; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”

Weighted with £155 16s., valuation for improvements, consisting of cottage, clearing, fencing, and draining.
Land undulating, partly bush; good soil, and well watered. Two miles distant from Pahia Railway-station by good road.
NOTE.—The lease is offered subject to the right of Messrs. Perry and Ward to remove the timber, which right expires on 12th November, 1907.

SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Southland County.—Waikawa Survey District.

Weighted with £20, valuation for fencing, clearing, and grassing.
Partly covered with bush of no commercial value, and well watered. The soil generally is clay, and ranks from fair to good. Distant about half a mile from Waikawa Township.

Wallace County.—Lillburn Survey District.

Altitude, from 300 ft. to 500 ft. above sea-level. About 130 acres of birch bush, balance more or less open; covered with bog-pine, manuka, and grass; swampy on flats. The hills are low and have inferior soil; papa formation; well watered. Distant eleven miles from Clifden Post-office by partly formed road, and thirty-two miles from Otatau by good road.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Nelson Land District described in the
