Land temporarily reserved in the Southland Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Southland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the said Schedule specified at the end of the description of the land so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 5, Block XI., Town of Wrey’s Bush. Bounded towards the north by Regent Street; towards the east by Main Street; towards the south by Section No. 6, Block XI., Town of Wrey’s Bush; and towards the west by Section No. 4 of the said Block XI.: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 54702/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red. For a site for a public hall and library.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fifteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and six.

Changing the Purpose of a Portion of a Reserve in the Nelson Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of a reserve heretofore duly set apart for municipal purposes, being a reserve within Class I. of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” and such land has not been vested in trust in any society, body corporate, or trustees:

And whereas it is expedient that such land shall be appropriated for a site for a public hospital, being a reserve within Class III. of the aforesaid Act:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the second section of “The Public Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1889,” do by this notification declare that the said land shall, from and after the eighteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and six, be appropriated for a site for a public hospital under Class III. of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881”; and I do hereby direct that this notification shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 1 rood 1 perch, more or less, being Section No. 14, Block III., Kawatiri Survey District. Commencing at the north-eastern corner of the intersection of Derby Street with Pakington Street, and bounded as follows: By Derby Street, 350° 15′, 279·7 links; by the southern and eastern boundaries of Section No. 63, 80° 15′, 400 links, and 350° 15′, 350 links respectively; by Cobden Street, 80° 15′, 343·6 links; by Orowaiti Road, 92° 50′, 164 links; by a right line, 170° 15′, 594 links; and by Pakington Street to the commencing point, 80° 15′, 903·6 links: be all the aforesaid bearings and linkages a little more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 54579, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fifteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and six.
