No. 1 Kauri-gum reserve, situated in the Parish of Koheroa, Manukau County, set apart by Order in Council dated the 7th August, 1903, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 64, of the 13th August, 1903, page 1787. Bounded towards the east by Sections Nos. 124, 173, and 64 of the Parish of Koheroa and by the Kopuera Stream; towards the south-west generally by the abutment of a road, by Section No. 142 of the said parish, by the abutment of a road, by Section No. 174 of the said parish, the crossing of the Mercer-Miranda Road, by the said road, and by Sections Nos. 170, 117, 105, 104, 103, and 103A of the said parish; and towards the north-west generally by Sections Nos. 133, 134, and 171 of the said parish, by the abutment of a road, by the said Section No. 171, and by Sections Nos. 135 and 89 of the aforesaid parish to the Mercer-Miranda Road, by the crossing of the last-mentioned road, by the said Mercer-Miranda Road to a point in line with the north-east boundary-line of Section No. 89 aforesaid, by a right line to and by the said north-east boundary-line, by Sections Nos. 119 and 172 to the said Mercer-Miranda Road, by the crossing of the last-mentioned road, and by that road to Section No. 124 aforesaid: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 50881/5, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red.

WHEREAS by section two of “The Domain Boards Act, 1904” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such person or persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” control of such domain:
And whereas it appears expedient to appoint a Domain Board to control the domain described in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the said Colony of New Zealand, doth hereby appoint

to be the Matamau Domain Board, having control of the land described in the said Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Friday, the ninth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and six, at half past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the residence of Mr. J. P. Leighton, Matamau, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
SCHEDULE.
MATAMAU DOMAIN.
All that area of land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 7 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 33, Village of Matamau, Block X., Norsewood Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 82, 728·7 links; towards the south-east by the Matamau Stream; towards the south-west by Section No. 34, 984 links; and towards the north-west by the Main Napier-Wellington Road, 796·4 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 53852, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Exempting Shannon, Lifey, and Derwent Streets, in the City of Wellington, from the Provisions of Section 117 of “The Public Works Act, 1905.”

WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of a road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council:
And whereas on the sixteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and five, the Council of the City of Wellington, the local authority having control of the streets known as Shannon Street, Lifey Street, Derwent Street, and Knoll Street (being the streets described in the Schedule hereto), did by resolution declare that the provisions of the said section one hundred and seventeen should not apply to the said streets: And whereas such resolution was in the following terms: “The Council of the City of Wellington hereby resolves that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of ‘The Public Works Acts Compilation Act, 1905,’ shall not apply to so much of the undermentioned streets at Island Bay—Shannon Street, Lifey Street, Derwent Street, and Knoll Street—as is shown on plans submitted, such streets being under the control of the Wellington City Council, and hereby imposes as a condition of such exemption that no part of a dwellinghouse hereafter erected on lands having a frontage to such portions of the said streets shall be erected at a less distance than thirty-three feet from the centre of the roadways, such condition to be registered against the titles of all lands fronting the said streets”:
And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved in so far as it concerns Shannon Street, Lifey Street, and Derwent Street:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby approve of the said resolution in so far as it relates to Shannon Street, Lifey Street, and Derwent Street.
SCHEDULE.
That portion of a street known as Derwent Street along the frontages of Section 127, a distance of 2½ chains or thereabouts, as shown on plan marked R. 6844, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and coloured with a red border; also those portions of Shannon and Lifey Streets, measuring respectively 30 links and 4 chains 40 links or thereabouts, fronting the section of land between Clyde, Shannon, and Lifey Streets; also that portion of Knoll Street fronting Section 28, a distance of 2 chains 40 links or thereabouts: as the said streets are shown on the plan marked R. 6844A, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and coloured with a red border.
