THE following special order, made by the Waimea County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

WAIMEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Waimea County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £600, authorised to be raised by the Waimea County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the construction of a suspension bridge over the Motueka River, the said Waimea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅞d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Special-rating District No. 2, Baton, comprising Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 4A, 5, Block II, Wangapeka S.D.; Sections 1, 1A, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, part 12, 154, 155, 156, 158, Block III, Wangapeka S.D.; Sections part 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, part 12, 13, 14, 15, 84, 85, 106, 107, 144, 170, Block IV, Wangapeka S.D.; Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, Block VI, Wangapeka S.D.; Sections 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, part 13, 145, 146, 147, 148, Block VII, Wangapeka S.D.; Sections 1, 2, 3, Block X, Wangapeka S.D.; and Sections 1, 2, 5, 10, 11, 13, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 42, 43, 44, 143, Block XVI, Mount Arthur S.D.: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I certify the foregoing to be a true copy of a resolution passed by the Waimea County Council at a meeting held on the 8th day of March, 1906, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held by the said Council on the 5th day of April, 1906.

WAIRARAPA SOUTH COUNTY COUNCIL.
Result of Poll on Proposed Loan.
I HEREBY give notice that at the poll of ratepayers in the Dalefield Road Special-rating District, taken the 31st day of March, 1906, on the proposal of the Council to raise a loan of £600, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and amendments, for widening the formation of and metalling Dalefield Road, the votes recorded were as follows: For the proposal, 30; against the proposal, 22.
As the number of votes recorded in favour of the proposal is not three-fifths of the total votes recorded, I therefore declare the proposal to be rejected.

BOROUGH OF WEST HARBOUR.
I HEREBY give public notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of Ravensbourne Ward, Borough of West Harbour, taken on the 29th March, 1906, upon a proposal for a loan of £1,760, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the formation of drainage-channels and the improvement of roads and footways, the voting was as follows: For the proposal, 22 votes; against the proposal, 9 votes.
I therefore declare the said proposal to be carried.

I hereby give public notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of Rothesay Ward, Borough of West Harbour, taken on the 30th March, 1906, upon a proposal for a loan of £1,920, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the formation of drainage-channels and the improvement of roads and footways, the voting was as follows: For the proposal, 41 votes; against the proposal, 18 votes; informal, 2 votes.
I therefore declare the said proposal to be carried.

IT is hereby notified for public information that the North-east Valley Borough Council has, by special order, declared dock to be a noxious weed within the meaning of “The Noxious Weeds Act, 1900,” in the district under its jurisdiction.

Notice of the Laying-off of Road through D3 and No. 2, Mahoenui Blocks, and Manga-Awakino Blocks Nos. 2, 3, 7, and 8, Awakino East Survey District.
NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, under the authority of section 93 of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” that the road described in the Schedule hereto was duly taken and laid off in February, 1905, through the lands specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said colony, by Warrants dated the 12th October, 1904, and 3rd January, 1905.
SCHEDULE.
MAHOENUI NO. 2, SUBDIVISION NO. 5.
ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 9 perches, more or less, situated in the Awakino East Survey District, and being a portion of road of irregular width traversing the Mahoenui No. 2 Block No. 6323B, Subdivision No. 5, the middle line of which commences at a point on the Awakino–Te Kuiti Road at a distance of 375 links, more or less, to the eastward of the nearest road-angle to the Awakino River, and proceeds southerly for a distance of 85 links, more or less, to the Ngatirawa Stream.
MAHOENUI BLOCK D3.
Also all that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 18 acres 2 roods 12 perches, more or less, situated in the Awakino East Survey District, and being a road-line of a width of not less than 100 links traversing the Mahoenui No. 2 Block, Subdivision D3, No. 6323F, the middle line of which commences at the southern termination of the middle line of the portion of road (containing 9 perches) which traverses the Mahoenui Block No. 2, Section 5, and continues south-easterly generally for a distance of 18570 links, more or less, to the north-eastern boundary of Subdivision No. 3 aforesaid.
MAHOENUI BLOCK NO. 2, SUBDIVISION D3.
Also all that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 4 perches, more or less, situated in the Awakino East Survey District, and being a portion of a road-line of irregular width lying along and within the north-eastern boundary of Subdivision D3, Mahoenui Block. Bounded commencing at a point on the north-eastern boundary of No. 3 Subdivision aforesaid at a distance of 1530 links, more or less, from its easternmost angle; towards the north-east by a line, 430 links; towards the south-east by a line, 38·7 links; towards the south-west by a line, 381·8 links; and towards the north-west by a line, 111·9 links, to the commencing-point.
