other charges on a loan of £400, authorised to be raised by the Wainono Drainage Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of repairing extraordinary damage done by flood to the main outlet-box, being part of the drainage-works of the Wainono Drainage District, the said Wainono Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅔d. in the pound on all first-class land, ⅓d. in the pound on all second-class land, and ⅙d. in the pound on all third-class land, according to the classification-list for the time being in force for the said drainage district, upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Wainono Drainage District, comprising all that area of land in the Canterbury Land District situate in the Waimate and Waitaki Survey Districts, described in Order in Council constituting the said district, dated the 26th day of October, 1896, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 29th day of October, 1896, page 1787; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

OHAUPO DRAINAGE DISTRICT.
SPECIAL ORDER, making a special rate, made by a resolution of the Ohaupo Drainage Board on the 20th day of February, 1906, and confirmed by a resolution of the said Board on the 31st day of March, 1906:—
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Ohaupo Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan or £900, authorised to be raised by the Ohaupo Drainage Board, under the provisions of the above Act, for the purpose of executing drainage-works within the Ohaupo Drainage District, including the cost of raising such loan, the said Ohaupo Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound on the rateable value of lands classed as receiving or supposed to receive immediate and direct benefit from the construction of drainage-works, and of 1d. in the pound on the rateable value of lands classed as receiving or supposed to receive less direct benefit from such drainage-works, and of ⅔d. in the pound on the rateable value of lands receiving only an indirect benefit from drainage-works; such rate to be on all rateable property of the Ohaupo Drainage District, comprising all that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in Ngaroto Parish, Hamilton Survey District, bounded towards the north by Section No. 338, Ngaroto Parish, from the south-western corner of the said Section No. 338 to a public road forming the western boundary of Section No. 322; thence towards the east by the said road forming the western boundaries of the said Section No. 322 and Sections 323 and 324 to the southern side of a road intersecting the first-mentioned road and forming the southern boundaries of Sections Nos. 324, 324A, and 95; thence again towards the north by the last-mentioned road to the northernmost corner of Section No. 309; thence again towards the east by the said Section No. 309 and by Section No. 310 to the south-western corner of the said Section No. 310; thence towards the south and again towards the east by Section No. 325 to the southernmost corner of the said Section No. 325; thence towards the south by a public road forming the northern boundaries of Sections Nos. 284, 285, 295, 300, 300A, 135, 134, 133, 143, and 142 to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 160; thence towards the west by the said Section No. 160 and by Section No. 159 to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence towards the north-west by a public road forming the south-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 153, 369, 367, and 385 to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 380A (a closed road); thence by a right line across a public road to the said south-eastern boundary-line of the said Section No. 380A, and by that boundary-line to a point in line with the eastern boundary-line of Section No. 381; thence by a right line to the south-eastern corner of the said Section No. 381; thence by the said Section No. 381 and by Section No. 371 to the place of commencement: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 31st day of March and the 31st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE following special order, made by the Hunua Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

HUNUA ROAD DISTRICT.
Special Order to borrow £3,000.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the Acts amending the same respectively, the Hunua Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorised to be raised by the Hunua Road Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of forming and metalling certain roads—viz., (1) £1,400 for the Hunua Main Road from Hunua Butter-factory to the junction of new and old main roads in W. part of Section 10, Parish of Hunua; (2) £400 for the Hunua Main Road, starting at the Hunua Butter-factory and working southwards as far as the money will go; (3) £200 for the Hunua Main Road, starting at its junction with the Opaheke Road and working northwards as far as the money will go; any surplus from No. 1 to form and metal worst places between Nos. 2 and 3, under the direction of the Hunua Road Board; (4) £750 for the Whisky Creek Road, No. 1 Section, starting at the eastern end of metal already on road and working eastward, the preparing of road to lay metal on to be included in this work for the length of road to be metalled; (5) £250 for the Whisky Creek Road, No. 2 Section, the road to be formed from its junction with the main road to a line intersecting Section 45, and being northern boundary of Section 61, Parish of Hunua, and metal to be put on worst parts as the Hunua Road Board shall direct—the Hunua Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound on the unimproved value of all the rateable property in the Hunua Road District: and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable in one instalment on the 1st day of July in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off; the rate of interest to be 4 per centum per annum.
The Hunua Road Board further resolve to pay the interest on the said loan out of general rates or revenue, in which case the special rate will not be collected, excepting such portion as may be required to make good any deficiency that may occur through the revenue from such general rate being insufficient to pay the interest upon the said loan; but the cost of raising the loan and the first year’s interest of the loan shall be paid out of the said loan.
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made at a special meeting of the Hunua Road Board held on the 3rd day of February, 1906, and confirmed at a special meeting of the said Board held on the 10th day of March, 1906, and that public notification of the said special order and notification of all meetings connected therewith were duly given as by law required.
