ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this ninth day of April, 1906.

WHEREAS both the Controller and Auditor-General and the Assistant Controller and Auditor are unable to fulfil the duties of their office through illness, and it is therefore necessary that a Deputy should be appointed:

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section twenty-nine of “The Public Revenues Act, 1891,” and of all other powers enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby appoint

JOSEPH WILLIAM POYNTON

to be Deputy Controller and Auditor, to hold that office until either the Controller and Auditor-General or the Assistant Controller and Auditor resumes his duties.

Revoking Appointment of Hawera County Council as Trustees of the Otakeho Public Cemetery.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the forty-fifth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1881,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Warrant dated the second day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine, appointing the Hawera County Council Trustees of the Otakeho Public Cemetery, described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

OTAKEHO PUBLIC CEMETERY.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 2 roods 20 perches, more or less, being Section No. 12, Block V, Waimate Survey District. Bounded towards the north by the South Road, 760·4 links; towards the east by Section No. 13, 629 links; towards the south by Section No. 14, 720·6 links; and towards the west by Section No. 10, 385·5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 53986, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this third day of April, one thousand nine hundred and six.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of a Portion of a Reserve in the Marlborough Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to change or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in His Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II of the Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; and if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose of such reserve or any part thereof from the purpose or presumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other purpose, the Governor may, by notice gazetted, declare his intention to make such change, and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is intended to be so made:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” aforesaid, declare my intention to change the specific purpose of the portion of the reserve described in the second column of the Schedule hereto from that named in the first column of the said Schedule to that named in the third column of the said Schedule respectively.


SCHEDULE.

Description and Purpose of Original Reserve. Portion which it is intended to change. Intended Purpose.
All that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 53 acres and 25 perches, more or less, being Reserve D, Town of Picton. Reserved for purposes of public utility in Marlborough Provincial Gazette No. 25, of the 4th October, 1861, page 66. All that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 4 perches, more or less, being Section No. 1162, Town of Picton (part of Reserve D). Bounded towards the north by part of Reserve D, 300 links; towards the east by Market Quay, 393 links; and towards the west by Section No. 1161 (formerly part of Reserve D), 371·6 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 38854B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. Railway.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this seventeenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and six.
