Lands taken for a Road and Scenic Purposes in Block IV,

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1905,” for a certain work, to wit, for the purposes of a road and scenic purposes in Block IV, Hautapu Survey District:
And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor to issue a Proclamation taking the lands, as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of a road and scenic purposes.

All in the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this first day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” for a certain work, to wit, for the purpose of a cemetery and approaches thereto, in Block XI, Okarito Survey District, Westland County:
And whereas the Westland County Council has laid before the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by “The Public Works Act, 1905”:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” and of all other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purpose of a cemetery and approaches thereto.

Authorising the Auckland Harbour Board to reclaim Land in Auckland Harbour.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this first day of March, 1906.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it is provided by the fourth section of “The Harbours Act Amendment Act, 1883” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), that, whenever any Harbour Board is desirous of executing or constructing any harbour-works upon lands vested in such Board or upon lands of the Crown of such a nature that the same could, under “The Harbours Act, 1878,” only be carried out and executed under the authority of a special Act, the Board may apply to the Governor in Council for a special Order, and, if the Governor in Council thinks fit, such Order may be made and granted:
And whereas the Auckland Harbour Board (hereinafter called “the Board”) is desirous of reclaiming from the sea certain land in Auckland Harbour, and to construct for that purpose a breastwork of re-enforced concrete with stone-rubble backing, and the said work is of such a nature as aforesaid, and the Board has applied to the Governor in Council for the issue of a special Order:
And whereas the conditions precedent to the granting of a special Order prescribed by the said Act have been duly performed and observed, and it appears expedient that such Order should be made:
And whereas it has been made to appear to the Governor in Council that the proposed work will not be or tend to the injury of navigation:
Now, therefore, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby authorise and empower the Board to reclaim certain land from the sea, and to construct for the purpose of such reclamation a breastwork as hereinbefore mentioned, as shown on plan and specifications marked M.D. 2909, such reclamation to be carried out and constructed in accordance with the said plan and specifications, subject to the provisions of the said Act. And it is hereby ordered and declared that the said work shall be completed on or before the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and nine.
