SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of the road in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, known as the Mangapuaka Road, commencing at the boundary of Ngapaeruru Block on the north-west corner of Section 2, Block VII, Mangatoro Survey District, and running generally in a southerly direction to its junction with Te Uri Road on the eastern boundary of Section 1, Block VII, Mangatoro Survey District, for a distance of 1 mile and 20 chains or thereabouts; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 651, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, thereon coloured red, and lettered AB.

Declaring Clark’s Track, in Stratford County, to be a County Road.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of February, 1906.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.
SCHEDULE.
CLARK’S TRACK.
THAT portion of the road in the Taranaki Land District, known as Clark’s Track, in the County of Stratford, commencing from its junction with the Mangaehu Road (Brewer Road to Taihore Road), and proceeding thence in a southerly direction for a distance of 33 chains, or thereabouts, along the frontage of Section 26, Block XV, Ngatimaru Survey District, to the south-west corner of that section; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 2854, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Mangaone Road, in Wairoa County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of February, 1906.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that road in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, known as the Mangaone Road, in the Wairoa County, commencing at its junction with the Nuhaka–Gisborne Road, and proceeding in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 180 chains, or thereabouts, until it strikes the north-west boundary of Section 2, Block III, Nuhaka Survey District; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 5588, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red, and lettered AB.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of February, 1906.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three, (a), of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county or district road to be stopped, and such road shall not be deemed to be stopped, until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained:
And whereas the Otamatea County Council has applied for such consent in respect to the road described in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby consent to the Otamatea County Council closing the road described in the Schedule hereto.

Civil Service Examination Regulations.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of February, 1906.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by “The Civil Service Reform Act, 1886,” and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby revoke all regulations heretofore made with respect to the competitive examination referred to in the said Act, and in lieu thereof doth make the regulations set forth in the Schedule hereto; and with the like advice and consent doth prescribe that this order shall come into force on the date of the first publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
SCHEDULE.
REGULATIONS FOR THE JUNIOR EXAMINATION.

THE competitive examination (hereinafter called “the Junior Examination”) required by “The Civil Service Reform Act, 1886,” shall be held every year in the month of November, December, or January, in every city or borough in which the Board of any education district has its office, and in any other places that may from year to year be appointed for the purpose by the Minister of Education. At least six months’ notice shall be given of the date of the examination.

Every candidate for the Junior Examination must give notice, and such notice must be in a form prescribed by the Minister of Education, and must be sent so as to be delivered at the office of the Education Department not later
