pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by
"The Public Works Act, 1905," and "The Scenery Preservation Act, 1903," and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do
hereby proclaim that the land mentioned in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purpose of a road as aforesaid. And it is hereby declared that this Proclamation
shall take effect on and after the first day of March, one
thousand nine hundred and six.

above mentioned, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

Land taken for a Road and Gravel-pit in Block IV, Opawa Survey District, Mackenzie County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act, 1905," for a certain work, to wit, for the purposes of a road and gravel-pit through Block IV, Opawa Survey District:
And whereas an agreement has been entered into with the owner of the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto to take such lands for the public work hereinafter set forth:
And whereas the Council of the County of Mackenzie has laid before the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map, as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by "The Public Works Act, 1905," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, and being satisfied of the sufficiency of the agreement hereinbefore referred to, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of the said road and gravel-pit in Opawa Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section twenty-one of "The Public Works Act, 1905," it is enacted that whenever any Crown land is required to be set apart for any public work the Governor may at any time, by Proclamation duly gazetted, set the same apart for such public work without complying with any of the provisions of that Act in respect to the taking or setting apart of other lands for such purpose:
And whereas the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is Crown land, and is required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act, 1905," for a certain public work, to wit, for the purpose of a quarry in Block IX, Rangaunu Survey District:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by "The Public Works Act, 1905," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a quarry.
