BOROUGH OF GREY LYNN.

SPECIAL ORDER MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

PURSUANT to the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” section 16, public notice is hereby given of the following resolution, passed at a special meeting of the Grey Lynn Borough Council held on Wednesday, the 31st day of October, 1906, and confirmed at a special meeting held on Monday, the 3rd day of December, 1906:—

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and sinking fund on a loan of £15,000, authorised to be raised by the Grey Lynn Borough Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the carrying-out of the grading, levelling, formation, metalling, kerbing, and channelling, and drainage of the streets or roads within the limits of or bounding the said Borough of Grey Lynn, and other charges, the said Grey Lynn Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅝d. in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Grey Lynn; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of June and December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR THE PURPOSE OF WIDENING VICTORIA ROAD.

In the matter of “The Public Works Act, 1905”; and in the matter of part Section C, Fitzroy District, Block V, Paritutu Survey District.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of the Inhabitants of the Carrington Road District require to take the piece of land, containing by admeasurement 22·4 perches, more or less, being part of Section C, Fitzroy District, Block V, Paritutu Survey District — bounded towards the north by Victoria Road, 26·15 links; towards the east by Victoria Road, 1121·11 links; and towards the west by part of same Section C, 1113·72 links—for the purpose of widening the Victoria Road; and that in pursuance of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” a copy of the plan showing the position of the said land required to be taken is open for public inspection at Messrs. Foot’s Store, Vogeltown, in the Carrington Road District. And it is hereby notified that all persons affected by such proposed works and taking are required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Board of the Inhabitants of the Carrington Road District.
