All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 69 acres 2 roods 2 perches, more or less, being Section No. 39, Block VIII, Belmont Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Subdivision No. 3, Maungaraki Block; towards the east generally by Sections Nos. 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, and 34, Block VIII, Belmont Survey District, and by the abutment of the Titiro Moana Road; towards the south by Section No. 78, Block XIII, Belmont Survey District aforesaid; and towards the west generally by Section No. 7, Block XIII aforesaid, and Sections Nos. 9, 11, and 3, Block VIII aforesaid, and by a line running up the centre of the Korokoro Stream to the point of commencement: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 19226/109, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For the growth and preservation of timber.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 12 acres and 22·56 perches, more or less, being Section No. 121, Block XIII, Belmont Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 10, Block VIII, Belmont Survey District; towards the east by Section No. 79, Block XIII, Belmont Survey District aforesaid; towards the south-east by Section No. 16 of the said block; towards the south-west generally by Section No. 122 of the said block, and by the abutment of a walking-track 100 links wide; and towards the west by Section No. 120 of the said block: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 19226/108B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For scenic purposes.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 10·4 perches, more or less, being Section No. 125, Block XIII, Belmont Survey District. Bounded towards the north, west, and south generally by the Maungaraki Road; and towards the east by Section No. 115 of said block: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 19226/108A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For plantation purposes.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 2 perches, more or less, being Allotments Nos. 260 and 261, Edendale Township. Bounded towards the north-east by the Edendale–Glenham Railway, 261·4 links; towards the east by Allotment No. 262, in the said township, 161·4 links; towards the south by Ferry Road, 235 links; and towards the west by Allotment No. 259, in the said township, 276 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 56337, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. For a site for a Courthouse.
All that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being Section No. 132E, Edendale Settlement, Block V, Lothian Hundred. Bounded towards the north by Invercargill–Dunedin Road, 801·3 links; towards the east by Section No. 83E, in the said Edendale Settlement, 612·8 links; towards the south by said Section No. 83E, 1031·4 links; and towards the west by Downs Road, 552·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 56343, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For a site for a public cemetery.

Rural Land in Auckland Land District open for Selection on Lease in Perpetuity.

PLUNKET, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on and after the twenty-seventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and seven; and also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may be selected on lease in perpetuity only, in accordance with the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-one of the said Act, as it contains, or is supposed to contain, metals, minerals, or valuable stone; and I do hereby also fix the price at which the said land shall be leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”

Altitude, from 700 ft. to 800 ft. above sea-level. Undulating to rough country; about 80 acres ploughed and laid down in good grass, balance surface-sown grass. One hundred and twenty chains of boundary and subdivisional fencing and two-roomed house have been erected on the section. Light soil of fair quality; well watered by small stream and springs. Situated in the Papamoa No. 2 Special Settlement Block, about eleven miles from Tauranga, eight miles of which is by main Tauranga–Te Puke Road, balance by formed dray-road.
