SCHEDULE.

THAT bridge, including approaches and protective works, over the Manawatu River near Shannon and known as the Shannon Bridge; as the site of the said bridge, approaches, and protective works is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 2749, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon shown in red colour.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fourteenth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

Little Owl protected under the Animals Protection Acts.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” and the Acts amending the same, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that, from and after the date hereof, the small European grey owl (Athene noctua) shall come within the operation of the said Acts as fully and effectively as if they had been included in the Third Schedule to the said “Animals Protection Act, 1880.”

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fourteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and six.

Paradise Duck protected.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in me by “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” and “The Animals Protection Act 1880 Amendment Act, 1886,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do by this notification prohibit for one year from the twenty-fifth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seven, the destruction of the paradise duck (Casarca variegata), a bird indigenous to the said Colony of New Zealand.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fourteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and six.

Milk Fever, Puerperal Fever, Sapraemia, Acute Sepsis, and Septicaemia declared to be Infectious Diseases.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance of section thirteen of “The Public Health Act, 1900,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, do hereby declare that the diseases called or known as milk fever, puerperal fever, sapraemia, acute sepsis, and septicaemia are infectious diseases within the meaning of the said Act.

Waiotu River and its Tributaries, Auckland Land District, notified under “The Timber-floating Act, 1884.”

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the second section of “The Timber-floating Act, 1884,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the undermentioned river and its tributary streams and branches may be used under license for the purposes of the said Act.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

THE Waiotu River and its branches or tributary streams, situated in Bay of Islands and Whangarei Counties.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fifteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and six.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

to be a Trustee, in the place of John Davis, deceased, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Mandeville Public Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons previously appointed by His Excellency the Governor.

Land temporarily reserved in the Wellington Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the said Schedule specified at the end of the description of the land so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 270 acres, more or less, being Section No. 1A, Block XIII, Ngamatea Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Subdivision 2D of the Tauakira Block (Block XIII, Ngamatea Survey District); towards the south-east and south-west generally by the Koroniti-Harawira Road; and towards the north-west by Subdivision 2F of the Tauakira Block (Block XVI, Tauakira Survey District), and by Subdivision 2E of the Tauakira Block (Block XIII, Ngamatea Survey District): as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 56425, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For an endowment for primary education.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fifteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and six.
