Vesting Land in the Tai-Rawhiti Maori Land Board under "The Maori Land Settlement Act, 1905."
PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of December, 1906.

His Excellency The Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by section eight of "The Maori Land Settlement Act, 1905," it is provided that where any Maori land within the Tai-Rawhiti Maori Land District is, in the opinion of the Native Minister, not required or not suitable for occupation by the Maori owners, the Governor may, by Order in Council, declare that such land is vested in the Board of that district for an estate in fee-simple in possession, subject nevertheless to all valid encumbrances, liens, and interests affecting the same, to be held and administered by the Board for the benefit of the Maori owners in accordance with the provisions of that Act:
And whereas the lands described in the Schedule hereto are Maori lands within the said district, and in the opinion of the Native Minister are not required or are not suitable for occupation by the Maori owners thereof:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of all powers and authorities conferred by the hereinbefore-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the said lands are vested in the Tai-Rawhiti Maori Land Board for an estate in fee-simple in possession, subject nevertheless to all valid encumbrances, liens, and interests affecting the same, to be held and administered by the said Board for the benefit of the Maori owners in accordance with the provisions of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.
OTAKANINI BLOCK.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement about 6,800 acres, known as the Otakanini Block, situated in Waioneke and Kaipara Survey Districts. Bounded towards the north-west by the Paparoa Block: towards the north-east generally by Kaipara Harbour: towards the south-east by Sections Nos. la and l, Block IX, Kaipara Survey District; Section No. 1, Block XIII; Sections Nos. 1, 3, 4, and 5, Block XII, Kaipara Survey District; and the north-western boundary-line of the last-mentioned section produced to the sea; and towards the south-west by the sea: including the adjacent islands.
MOTATAU No. 2.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland, situated in the Kawakawa and Motatau Survey Districts, and being called or known as Motatau No. 2 Block, and numbered 7064 (in red), containing by admeasurement 35,500 acres, approximately. Bounded towards the north generally by Crown land, and Sections 21 and 18, Block XVI, Kawakawa Survey District; towards the east generally by Section 18, Block XVI, Kawakawa Survey District; a road reserve, the Mohinui Block, Sections 1 and 6, Block IV, Motatau Survey District, Crown land, Sections 14 and 18, Block VIII, Motatau Survey District, the Hukerenui Kauri-gum Reserve, Section 5, Block XII, Motatau Survey District, the Hukerenui Kauri-gum Reserve aforesaid, and Sections 2, 3, and 4, Block XII, Motatau Survey District; towards the south generally by Native land and Maromaku Block; towards the west generally by Motatau No. 1 Block and the Hawera Stream: save and excepting the Waiomio School-site (containing 5 acres) and railway and roads.
