All that area in the Southland Land District, containing approximately 260 acres, situated in Block III, Longwood Survey District. Bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Section No. 3, Block I, Longwood Survey District, and proceeding thence due north for a distance of about 3000 links; thence along a line due east to a point due north of the northernmost corner of Section No. 3, Block III, of the said district; thence along a line due south to the last-mentioned corner; and thence westerly along lines bounding the said Section No. 3 and Sections Nos. 1, 4, and 2, all of the said Block III, to the commencing-point.	Proclamation dated the 24th day of February, 1886, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 11, of the 4th day of March, 1886.
Also all that area in the Southland Land District, containing approximately 190 acres, situated in Block III, Longwood Survey District. Bounded by a line commencing at the easternmost corner of Section No. 1, Block III, Longwood Survey District, and proceeding thence due south to the southern boundary-line of the said Block III; thence due west along the said boundary-line to the south-east corner of Section No. 8, Block III aforesaid; thence north-easterly and south-westerly along lines bounding the said Section No. 8; thence north-westerly along a line bounding Section No. 7 of the said Block III to its northernmost corner; thence along the western boundary-line of the said Block III, being a line produced due north to the westernmost corner of Section No. 2, Block III aforesaid; and thence south-easterly along lines bounding the said Sections Nos. 2 and 1 to the commencing-point.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.G. 51113/19, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

Lands reserved as Endowments for Primary Education.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS under the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892,” the reserves enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto were temporarily reserved as endowments for primary education, upon the respective dates specified in the second column of the said Schedule, and severally set opposite the respective descriptions of the said reserves:

And whereas notices of such reservations were laid upon the table of each House of the General Assembly: And whereas the two Houses have passed resolutions, upon the dates specified in the third column, approving, in terms of the two-hundred-and thirty-eighth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” of the lands being permanently set aside as endowments for primary education:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by “The Land Act, 1892,” do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be reserved as endowments for primary education.
