NOTICE is hereby given that, the leases and licenses of the undermentioned lands having been forfeited by resolution of the Taranaki Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”

Land in Dyer Settlement, Wellington Land District, open for Selection on Lease in Perpetuity.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be open for selection on lease in perpetuity, at this office, on Wednesday, the 19th day of December, 1906, under the provisions of “The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900,” and amendments.

If more than one application is received for the section on the same day, the order of selection shall be decided by ballot.

This section comprises mostly pastoral land fronting Dry River, and varying in altitude from 300 ft. to 800 ft. There are about 25 acres of stony flat land between Dry River Road and Dry River, and about 10 acres of flat land to the east of Dry River Road, the remainder consisting of easy slopes of native grass on clay soil, with fern and light manuka in the gullies. The flat land and tops of the spurs are ploughable. Watered by Dry River and by a branch of Kelly’s Creek, which also supplies permanent water. Access to this section is from Martinborough, about six miles and a half distant—by four miles metalled coach-road, another mile and a half unformed surveyed road practicable for wheel traffic, and the remainder unformed surveyed road. There is a school-site near the junction of the Dry River Road with the Main Road, about two miles and a half distant. The improvements (which are included in the price of the land) comprise half value of about 142 chains of boundary-fences and whole value of 69 chains of interior-fences, and sheep-yards, the whole valued at £80.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned village-homestead allotment will be opened for selection on lease in perpetuity, at this office, on Wednesday, the 19th day of December, 1906, under the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”

Undulating fern-land; partly old timber workings, with about 360 acres of scattered mixed forest, comprising taraire, puriri, kohekohe, and rata, with light undergrowth of nikau and bush ferns; soil inferior, on sandstone formation; not well watered. Distant eight miles from Kaeo Post-office.
