MINING NOTICES.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1903,” and of the Mount Buster Mining Company (Limited), (in voluntary liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 230 of “The Companies Act, 1903,” that a General Meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at Mr. R. F. Inder’s office, Naseby, on Saturday, the 6th day of January, 1906, at 8 o’clock in the evening, for the purpose of having an account laid before the company showing the manner in which the winding-up of the company has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation which may be given by the Liquidator, and for the purpose of passing an extraordinary resolution disposing of the books, accounts, and documents of the company, and the Liquidator.

APPLICATION FOR LICENSE FOR A WATER-RACE.

To the Warden of the Otago Mining District, at Lawrence.

PURSUANT to “The Mining Act, 1898,” the undersigned, John Joseph Paulin, of Lawrence, Butcher, hereby applies for a license for a water-race as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

Date and number of miner’s right : 19th September, 1905 ; No. 53928.

SCHEDULE.

Locality of the race and of its starting and terminal points : Commencing in a small creek in Freehold Section 46, Block X., Tuapeka East District, belonging to Julia Cameron, following course of old water-race through part of said Section 46 ; thence passing through Sections 44, 33, 43, and 41 of same block, being the freehold lands of Robert Cowie ; thence passing through Section 11 of same block, being the freehold lands of George McCluskey ; and terminating in Freehold Section 16, Block II., Tuapeka District, belonging to applicant. Pegs marked X. Applicant applies for 10 ft. on each side of race to deposit débris.

Length and intended course of race : Four miles 12 chains ; westerly and southerly (Blundell’s old water-race).

Points of intake : One, at head of race.

Estimated time and cost of construction : Six months ; £400.

Mean depth and breadth : Depth, 1 ft. ; breadth, 3 ft.

Number of heads to be diverted : Five heads.

Purpose for which water is to be used : Mining purposes.

Proposed term of license : Forty-two years.
