Notice is hereby given that the Egmont Road Board proposes to pass the foregoing resolution as a special order at a meeting of the Board to be held at the office of the Board, Brougham Street, New Plymouth, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, the 7th day of October, 1905.

THE following special order, made by the New Plymouth Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

BOROUGH OF NEW PLYMOUTH.
In the matter of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901” (and all other powers, if any, thereunto enabling it), the Council of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of New Plymouth hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £7,000, authorised to be raised by the Council of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of New Plymouth, under the above-mentioned Act, for paying liabilities already incurred and to complete the additions and extensions to the waterworks, to pay liabilities already incurred and to complete the work of lighting the streets and public places of the borough with electricity and the supplying of electricity, and to carry out any other works incidental to, or in relation to, any of the above purposes, the said Council of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of New Plymouth hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the Borough of New Plymouth; and that such special rate be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of seventeen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution adopted at a special meeting of the New Plymouth Borough Council held on Monday, the 28th of August, 1905, and confirmed as a special order at a special meeting of the said Council on Monday, the 25th day of September, 1905.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Sumner Borough Council held on the 5th day of September, 1905, at 7 p.m., a resolution was passed as a special order that the total number of members of the Council of the Borough of Sumner be altered from six to eight, exclusive of the Mayor; and notice is also hereby given that the said resolution was submitted and confirmed as a special order at an ordinary meeting of the Sumner Borough Council held at the Council’s office, Sumner, on the 3rd day of October, 1905, at 7.15 p.m.

NELSON CITY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the power vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Nelson City Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,000, authorised to be raised by the Nelson City Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for repayment of a general and drainage loan of £4,000, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the City of Nelson, comprising the whole of the City of Nelson as defined under “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900”; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above special order was passed at a special meeting of the Nelson City Council held on the 8th day of September, 1905, and duly confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the said Council held on the 6th day of October, 1905.
