Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and five.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the seventy-third section of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901” (herein termed “the said Act”), it is, amongst other things, enacted that before certain moneys therein mentioned shall be expended upon any block of land it shall be necessary that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the said Act, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for settlement.
SCHEDULE.
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.
Kururau Block, 12,000 Acres (approximate).
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing approximately 12,000 acres, and situated in the Ohura and Heao Survey Districts. Bounded towards the north-west by the Kakahi Road and by Crown land; towards the north-east by Crown land to the Otunui Stream; towards the east by the said Otunui Stream to the Wanganui River; towards the south and again towards the north-east by the last-mentioned river; again towards the east by a Native reserve; towards the south-east by the said Wanganui River to the Paparoa Stream; again towards the south by the last-mentioned stream, by the Makahi-Katoa Stream, and by the Koiro Block; again towards the north-west and towards the south-west by the Aorangi K Block to the Ohura River; and towards the west generally by the last-mentioned river and a road reserve along the left bank of same to the Kakahi Road first mentioned: exclusive of roads and reserves which are within the above-described area: as the same is delineated upon the plan marked S.G. 54206, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red.
