Notice of Appointment of District Agent for Public Trustee.

IT is hereby notified that

JOHN BAIN JACK

has been appointed District Agent for the Public Trustee at Napier, from 16th September, 1905.

Notice by the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

To the owner or owners of a parcel of land containing 1 acre, more or less, being Allotment No. 330, in the Town of Hamilton East and Provincial District of Auckland. The land was Crown-granted to Kyron Brennan, described as a private in the 4th Regiment of Waikato Militia, who cannot now be traced.

WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted inquiries, and has not thereby ascertained who the owner or owners of the above-described land is or are, and believes that such owner is, or owners are, not in the colony:

Now, this notice calls upon such owner or owners, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his or their title to the land specified in this notice; and, if such owner does or owners do not, within the time limited, so establish his or their title, the Public Trustee will exercise the powers and authorities granted to him in and by “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

To the owner or owners of a parcel of land containing 50 acres, more or less, being Allotment 102, in the Parish of Komokorau and Provincial District of Auckland, bounded on the east by Lake Piko Piko. The land was Crown-granted to John William Stephens, described as a private in the 4th Regiment of Waikato Militia, who never uplifted his title, and cannot now be traced.

WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted inquiries, and has not thereby ascertained who the owner or owners of the above-described land is or are, and believes that such owner is, or owners are, not in the colony:

Now, this notice calls upon such owner or owners, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his or their title to the land specified in this notice; and, if such owner does or owners do not, within the time limited, so establish his or their title, the Public Trustee will exercise the powers and authorities granted to him in and by “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

Notice of Vesting of Land in the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

WHEREAS I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, have, for the purposes of “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894,” made due inquiries with respect to the land described in the Schedule hereunder written, and the owner thereof, and have, in respect of the said land, given the notices prescribed by section 4 of the said Act, and have in all respects complied with the provisions of the said section: And whereas I have not thereby ascertained who the owner is, and believe that such owner is not in the colony, nor has such owner established his title to the said land, as required by the said Act: I hereby give notice that the said land is, under and by virtue of the said Act, vested in me, as the Public Trustee as aforesaid, as from the date of the publication hereof, and will be administered under the said Act; the value of the land for the purposes of section 5 of the said Act being less than £100.

Dated at Wellington, this 9th day of September, 1905.

NOTICE is hereby given that, no person having taken out administration, the Public Trustee has filed in the office of the Supreme Court at Wellington an election to administer the several intestate estates of the persons deceased whose names, residences, and occupations, so far as known, are hereunder respectively set forth, their gross properties being estimated not to exceed £250 in each case.

Notice of the Making of an Order by a Judge vesting Land in the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

I HEREBY give notice that by an order of His Honour Worley Bassett Edwards, Esquire, a Judge of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, holden at New Plymouth, made on the 19th day of June, 1905, all that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement 1 rood and 4 perches, more or less, being Section No. 263, Block IV., in the Township of Inglewood, was vested in the Public Trustee under and subject to the provisions of the above-mentioned Act.
