THE CROMWELL GOLD-DREDGING COMPANY (LIMITED), (IN LIQUIDATION).
NOTICE is hereby given that a General Meeting of the above company will be held at the office of David Larnach, 14, Bond Street, Dunedin, on Friday, the 29th day of September, 1905, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of laying the Liquidator’s account before the shareholders, showing the manner in which the winding-up of the company has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator.

To the Warden of the Otago Mining District, at Black’s.
PURSUANT to “The Mining Act, 1898,” the undersigned, William Jack, of Matakanui, Miner, hereby applies for a license for a water-race as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.
Date and number of miner’s right: 12th August, 1905; No. 52987.

SCHEDULE.
Locality of the race and of its starting and terminal points: At Matakanui, starting in main tail-race east of woolshed and terminating at northern boundary of Lauder Domain, running in its course through the following properties: Sections 22, Block VI., Lauder, occupation lease of Jane Hamilton; Section 21, Block VI., Lauder, occupation lease of Wa Hon; Section 20, Block VI., Lauder, occupation lease of Edward Moran; Section 5, Block VI., Lauder, small grazing-run of John Wilson; Section 46, Block III., Lauder, lease in perpetuity of Margaret Charles; Section 8, Block III., Lauder, freehold of John Wilson, and Section 3, Block III., freehold of William Laidlaw.
Length and intended course of race: Four miles; southerly.
Points of intake: Main tail-race east of woolshed.
Mean depth and breadth: 2 ft. by 1 ft.
Estimated time and cost of construction: Six months; £150.
Number of heads to be diverted: Up to six heads to be diverted only whenever authorised by and at the pleasure of the Trustees of the Tinker’s Sludge-channel.
Purpose for which water is to be used: Irrigation and domestic purposes. Strips of land 6 ft. wide along both sides of race also applied for.
Proposed term of license: Forty-two years.
