AFRICA.
SOUTH-EAST COAST.—NATAL.—GREEN POINT LIGHT.—FURTHER PARTICULARS.—Referring to Notice to Mariners No. 19 (719) of 1904, further notice is given that about September, 1905, a group flashing white light, showing a group of 2 flashes every 15 seconds, elevated 282 ft. above high water and visible 24 miles, will be exhibited from a new tower, painted in red and white bands, with white lantern on the headland above Green Point, close behind the present western beacon and on the alignment covering the Aliwal Shoal.
Also a subsidiary fixed red light, elevated 248 ft. above high water and visible over Aliwal Shoal, will be exhibited from the same tower. On the exhibition of these lights Umpambinyoni light and Amahlongwana light will be discontinued.
Also the present western beacon will be removed, being replaced by the new lighthouse, which, in line with the eastern beacon, will indicate Aliwal Shoal.
Approx. position: Lat. 30° 15′ 15″ S., long. 30° 46′ 45″ E.

EAST INDIA ARCHIPELAGO.
RHIO STRAIT.—TERKOLEI REEF.—BUOY MOVED.—The Netherlands Government has given notice that the black can buoy, surmounted by a cone, on the northern side of Terkolei Reef, Rhio Strait, has been moved to the south-western side of the reef, distant 110 yards from it, and moored in (approximately) lat. 0° 56′ 10″ N., long. 104° 20′ 9″ E.

JAPAN.
SHIMONOSEKI STRAIT.—ALTERATION IN BUOYAGE.—Referring to Notice to Mariners No. 23 (889) of 1905, the Japanese Government has given further notice that Moji north-east buoy has been replaced by a light-buoy as announced in the above notice, and also that a light-buoy has been moored in a position southward of Kannon-zaki, in (approximately) lat. 33° 57′ 5″ N., long. 130° 56′ 20″ E.

HAWAIIAN ISLANDS.
HAWAII.—LAUPAHOEHOE POINT LIGHT-STATION.—INFORMATION.—Referring to Notice to Mariners No. 49 (1736) of 1904, further notice is given that on 17th May, 1905, the fixed red lens-lantern light at Laupahoehoe Point, about 20 miles northward of Hilo Bay, on the north-eastern shore of the Island of Hawaii, heretofore shown from a white trestle, was moved about 18 ft. southward from its former position, and is now shown from a white mast, at the base of which is a white service-room with red roof and trimmings. The light is now 34 ft. above the base of structure and 48 ft. above the water.

MOLOKAI.—KAMALO POINT REEF.—BELL-BUOY ESTABLISHED.—About 16th June, 1905, a bell-buoy, painted red and marked “Kamalo” in black, will be established on the point of the reef making off from Kamalo Point, southern side of Molokai Island.

Notice to Mariners No. 66 of 1905.
LIGHTED BUOY FOR FALCON SHOAL, PORT NICHOLSON.

Wellington, N.Z., 21st August, 1905.
THE Wellington Harbour Board has given notice that on the 11th September, 1905, a lighted buoy will be placed on the western edge of the Falcon Shoal, Port Nicholson. The buoy is painted black, with white horizontal stripes, and will carry a fixed red light visible all round the horizon at a distance of five miles.
The following bearings from the buoy will mark its position:—
Pencarrow Lighthouse .. S. 21° E.
Hope Shoal Buoy .. N. 45° E.
Karaka Bay Wharf .. S. 86° W., dist. 5 cables.
Deep-draught vessels entering or leaving the harbour by day or night and passing to the westward or inshore of this buoy will insure a passage having a depth of not less than 33 ft. at low water springs.

Notice to Mariners No. 67 of 1905.
OTAGO HARBOUR ENTRANCE.—NORTH MOLE LIGHT.

Wellington, 22nd August, 1905.
REFERRING to “New Zealand Pilot,” seventh edition, page 293, and “New Zealand Nautical Almanac,” 1905, page 214, the Otago Harbour Board notifies that on and after the 1st October, 1905, the fixed green light shown from the extremity of the north mole will be discontinued, and replaced by a Wigham beacon-lamp showing a white occulting light visible all round the horizon through a distance of eight miles.
REMOVAL OF LIGHT-VESSEL.
REFERRING to “New Zealand Pilot,” page 293, seventh edition, and “New Zealand Nautical Almanac,” 1905, page 215, the Otago Harbour Board also notifies that on and after the 1st November, 1905, the light-vessel moored on the south edge of the sand flat will be removed, and will not be replaced.
REMOVAL OF BLACK BUOY AND ESTABLISHMENT OF INNER LIGHT.
The Otago Harbour Board also notifies that on and after the 1st November, 1905, the black channel buoy, distant 1,670 ft. S. 81° 45′ W. from Black Head, will be removed, and in lieu thereof a black beacon, carrying a fixed white light visible 5 miles, will be placed on the south side of the channel, Red Tower beacon bearing N. 28° W. 1,800 ft. distant, and Black Head bearing N. 83° 30′ E., 1,900 ft. distant.

Spencer Gulf.—Tumby Bay Jetty Light.
MASTERS of vessels and others are hereby informed that in future a fixed white light, visible for a distance of about five miles, will be permanently exhibited from the sea end of the jetty at Tumby Bay.
This affects Admiralty Chart No. 2389b.
