Land in Block I., Stonyhurst Survey District, taken for a Road-approach to a Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and “The Public Works Act, 1903,” for a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a road-approach to a railway-station:

And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinafter specified have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and “The Public Works Act, 1903,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of a road-approach to a railway-station on the Waipara-Mackenzie Branch of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway.

SCHEDULE.

THE parcel of land mentioned hereunder:—

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on sheet No. 2 of the plan marked P.W.D. 21448, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and five.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway to take further land at Edendale Settlement in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-eight and one hundred and sixty-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

THE parcel of land mentioned hereunder:—

In the Southland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 13625, deposited in the office of the Minister for Railways, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of August, in the year of our Lord, one thousand nine hundred and five.
