Special Order made by the Waimate Road Board.

THE following special order, made by the Waimate Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

WAIMATE ROAD BOARD.
Special Order.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Waimate Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £350, authorised to be raised by the Waimate Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for forming and metalling the unformed portion of the Manai’a Road within the southern subdivision of the Waimate Road Board District, the said Waimate Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⁶⁄₅d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Manai’a Road South Special-rating District, comprising Sections 25, 27, 28, part 26, part 26, Sections 16, 17, 18, 19, 33, 35, 22, 23, 30, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, part 21, Sections 63, 24, 52, 51, 53, 49, part 21, Sections 50, 20, Block III., Waimate Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The interest payable on such loan is to be at the rate of 4 per cent. per annum.
I, Thomas A. Bridge, Chairman of the Waimate Road Board, hereby certify that the above special order was passed at a meeting of the Waimate Road Board held on Tuesday, the 13th day of June, 1905.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Waimate Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £150, authorised to be raised by the Waimate Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for forming and metalling Kuri Street, in Kaponga Village Settlement, the said Waimate Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1¹⁄₄d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Kuri Street Special-rating District, comprising Sections 36, 37, 39, 40, 72, 65, parts of Sections 33, 35, 63, 70, 74, Kaponga Village Settlement; and Subsections 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, of Section 62, Block XI., Kaupokonui Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The interest payable on such loan is to be at the rate of 4 per centum per annum.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Waimate Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £120, authorised to be raised by the Waimate Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming and metalling the unmetalled portion of the Upper Glenn Road within the central subdivision of the Waimate Road Board District, the said Waimate Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ³⁄₈d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Upper Glenn Road Special-rating District, comprising Sections 46, 47, 50, 51, Block XIV.; part 34, part 34, part 37, part 37, part 40, Sections 35, 36, 38, 39, Block II., Kaupokonui Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The interest payable on such loan is to be at the rate of 4 per cent. per annum.

THE following special order, made by the Mount Albert Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

MOUNT ALBERT ROAD DISTRICT.
SPECIAL ORDER made on the 3rd day of April, 1905:—
That, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section 14 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Mount Albert Road Board resolves to raise a special loan of £3,500 for the purpose of meeting liabilities lawfully incurred in providing a water-supply for the district as authorised by the ratepayers at a poll taken on the 12th day of October, 1901.
I, Henry Charles Haselden, Clerk to the Mount Albert Road Board, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed by special order of the Mount Albert Road Board on the 3rd day of April, 1905, and that the provisions of section 75 of “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” were complied with.

RESULT OF POLL FOR PROPOSED LOAN.
In the matter of the proposal of the Council of the Borough of Mosgiel to raise a special loan of £4,000.
I, Thomas Aitken, Mayor of the Borough of Mosgiel, do hereby give notice that on the 3rd day of August, 1905, a poll of the ratepayers of said borough was taken on the proposal of the Council of the said borough, in pursuance of the powers and provisions contained in “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, to raise a special loan of £4,000, to be called “The Drainage and Waterworks Loan (No. 2),” for and in connection with the following public works—that is to say, (1) completing the drainage-works already sanctioned, including a system of purification on the bacterial principle; (2) completing the waterworks already sanctioned; (3) repairing and metalling or graveling streets and roads. That the amount applicable for drainage purposes is to be £1,750, for waterworks £1,750, and for repairing streets and roads £500.
