Defining the Middle Line of a Further Portion of the Gisborne–Rotorua Railway — namely, Portion of Waikohu Section.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Gisborne–Rotorua Railway (hereinafter termed “the said railway”) is a railway the construction of which is authorised by “The Railways Construction Act, 1904”: And whereas the said railway has been partly constructed, and it has been determined to construct and maintain a further portion of the same—portion of Waikohu Section:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the said further portion of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
GISBORNE–ROTORUA RAILWAY.
Commencing at a point in Subdivision 1, Karaka Block, No. 846, distant about 71 chains north and 5½ chains east of Trig. Station No. 116, the said point being also a point on the railway described in a Proclamation dated the 22nd day of November, 1902, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 98, of the 27th day of November, 1902; proceeding thence generally in a westerly direction for a distance of two miles, and passing in, into, or through the following lands—viz., Subdivision 1, Karaka Block; Subdivisions 16, 1, 2, 14, 13, 12, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 26, Pukepapa Block D—and terminating at a point in Subdivision 26 aforesaid, about 6 chains in an easterly direction from the intersection of two public roads: including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in Block IV., Waikohu Survey District, in the Land District of Hawke’s Bay: as the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 21452, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this second day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and five.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS a further portion of the Catlin’s–Seaward Bush Railway—namely, from Waimahaka Station to a point at or near Tokanui (hereinafter termed “the said railway”)—is a railway the construction of which is authorised by “The Railways Authorisation Act, 1899”: And whereas it has been determined to construct and maintain the same:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the said portion of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
CATLIN’S–SEAWARD BUSH RAILWAY.
Commencing at a point in Section No. 7, Block V., Toitois Survey District, distant about 10½ chains in a south-easterly direction from south-eastern corner of Section No. 1 (E.R.), and proceeding thence generally in a south-easterly direction for a distance of seven miles, or thereabout, passing in, into, through, or over the following lands—viz., Subdivisions 7 and 1 of original Section No. 7, Sections Nos. 11, 13, and 10, Block V., Toitois Survey District; Section No. 24A Bush Reserve, Block IX, Toitois Survey District; Section No. 21, Sections Nos. 4 and 3 Bush Reserve; Sections Nos. 14, 13, and 5, Block X., Toitois Survey District—and terminating at a point in said Section No. 5, distant about 20 chains in a south-easterly direction from the south-eastern corner of said Section No. 13: including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, roads, reserves, tracks, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Provincial District of Southland: in the manner delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 19438, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fourth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and five.
