Notice to Mariners No. 51 of 1905.

DREDGING OPERATIONS IN WANGANUI RIVER.

Wellington, N.Z., 8th July, 1905.

THE Wanganui Harbour Board have given notice that they are about to commence dredging in the Wanganui River, and that the dredge will be moored in the fairway while the work is progressing.

The lights and signals on dredge will be as follows: At night the usual anchor light will be shown, and two red lights in a vertical line, one over the other, 6ft. apart, visible at a distance of two miles. In the daytime two black balls, 2ft. in diameter and 6ft. apart, in a vertical line, one over the other. Red lights or balls to be shown on that side of dredge on which vessels are to pass.

The time for vessels entering the port while dredge is at work will be restricted to one hour before and one hour after high water.

Notice to Mariners No. 52 of 1905.

WELLINGTON HARBOUR.

Marine Department,
Wellington, 17th July, 1905.

THE Wellington Harbour Board notifies that the dredge “Whakarire” is working to the southward of Lambton Harbour, at the site of the proposed Clyde Quay Wharf, and that masters of vessels approaching the Queen’s Wharf and Jervois Quay berths must keep clear of the dredge moorings.

Charts, &c., affected: Admiralty Chart No. 1423 (Port Nicholson).

Notice of the Taking and Laying-off of a Road through Pukerua 3c No. 2a, Paikakariki Survey District.

NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, under the authority of section 92 of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” that the road described in the Schedule hereto was, on the 24th October, 1904, duly taken and laid off through the land specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said colony, by Warrant dated the 9th September, 1904.

Notice of the Taking and Laying-off of a Road through Rangitatau No. 1d No. 3 and No. 1d No. 5 Blocks, Nukumaru Survey District.

NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, under the authority of section 92 of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” that the road described in the Schedule hereto was, on the 30th April, 1903, duly taken and laid off through the lands specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said colony, by Warrant dated the 10th March, 1902.
