Special Order made by the Manganui Road Board.

The Treasury,
Wellington, 11th July, 1905.

THE following special order, made by the Manganui Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

MANGANUI ROAD BOARD, MIDHIRST.

Special Order. — Croydon Road East No. 2. — Loan of £1,500.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in that behalf by “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and amendments, the Manganui Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorised to be raised by the Manganui Road Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, for the purpose of forming, grading, and metalling the Croydon Road from the Ackland Road to the Makara Stream, or as far as the money will go in that direction—to pay out of such loan the cost of raising it—the said Manganui Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 4d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all the rateable property in Croydon Road East No. 2 Special-rating District, comprising Sections 49, Block 10; part 5, Block 11 (400 acres); 50, Block 10; 35, Block 10; 34, Block 10; and part 6 (100 acres), Block 11, Huiroa Survey District: and that such special rate be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off, the rate of interest to be 5 per cent. per annum.

THE following special order, made by the Bruce County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

BRUCE COUNTY COUNCIL.

SPECIAL ORDER made by the Bruce County Council striking a special rate under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901”:

Matau Drainage-works.

That, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it on that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Bruce County Council resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorised to be raised by the Bruce County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the extension of the Matau Drainage-works, the said Bruce County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅛d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property in the outlying district, Matau Riding, comprised in Blocks V. and VI.; Sections 1 to 5, Block VII.; Sections 1 to 4, Block VIII.; Sections 1 to 8, Block X.; Sections 1 to 10, Block XII.; part of Sections 1 to 5, Sections 6 to 10, Block XIII.; part of Sections 1 to 5, Block XIV., on south side of railway-line; part of Stirling Township on parts of Sections 1 to 3, Block XIII., on the south of the railway-line; all in North Molyneux Survey District: and such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of said loan, and to be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above special order was made by the Bruce County Council on Tuesday, 6th June, 1905, and confirmed at a meeting held on Tuesday, 4th July, 1905.

THE following special order, made by the Woodville County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

WOODVILLE COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLVED, That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and amendments, the Woodville County Council hereby resolves as follows, viz.: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on an additional loan of £60, authorised to be raised by the Woodville County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for construction of England’s Hill Deviation Road and erection of Kiritaki Bridge, the said Woodville County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¹⁄₁₀₀d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property in the Maharahara Special-rating District, comprising the whole of the Maharahara Riding of the Woodville County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above special order was passed at a special meeting of the Woodville County Council on the 2nd June, 1905, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting on the 6th July, 1905.

That, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it on that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Bruce County Council resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £350, authorised to be raised by the Bruce County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for metalling main centre road, Inch Clutha, under a loan of £3,500, the said Bruce County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¹⁄₁₂d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Inch Clutha subdivision of the Matau Riding; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of said loan, and to be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above special order was made by the Bruce County Council on Tuesday, the 2nd May, 1905, and confirmed on Tuesday, the 6th June, 1905.
