LE BON’S BAY ROAD BOARD.

Special Order.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by “The Noxious Weeds Act, 1900,” the Le Bon’s
Bay Road Board hereby resolves that all weeds mentioned
in the Second Schedule of “The Noxious Weeds Act, 1900,”
shall be declared noxious weeds within the Le Bon’s Bay
Road Board district.

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of the
special order passed by the Le Bon’s Bay Road Board at a
special meeting held at the Board’s office on the 12th day of
June, 1905.

WESTERN AUSTRALIA (NORTH-WEST COAST).

Gantheaume Point Light.

THE Government of Western Australia gives notice that on
and after the 15th July, 1905, a dioptric fixed light of the
4th order will be exhibited from an open braced steel tripod
erected on Gantheaume Point, in lat. 17° 59′ south, long.
122° 11′ east, the height of the focal plane above high water
being 56 ft.

The light will be white, and visible all round the horizon
for a distance of 13 miles in clear weather.

Charts affected: No. 2994, North-west Coast of Australia
between the parallels of 10·8 and 21 south; No. 3002, Roe-
buck Bay; No. 3001, Buccaneer Archipelago to Bedout
Island.

Notice of Intention to take Land for a Road and other
Purposes through Blocks I. and II., Blue Mountain Sur-
vey District, Awatere Road District, Marlborough County.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” to
execute a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road
through Sections 18 of Block 2 and 54 of Square 40,
Blocks I. and II., Blue Mountain Survey District, Awatere
Road District, Marlborough County, and to take land for
the use, convenience, and enjoyment of roads already con-
structed in the vicinity of the said road, and for the purpose
of such public work the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken. And notice is further given
that the plan of the said road, and of the land so required
to be taken, is deposited in the Post-office at Awatere,
and is there open for inspection. And notice is also
given that all persons affected by the execution of the
said public work, or by the taking of the said lands, shall,
if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution
of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set
forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within
forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the
Minister for Public Works, Wellington.

IT is hereby notified for public information that the
undermentioned local governing bodies have by special
order declared the plants enumerated opposite each to be
noxious weeds within the meaning of “The Noxious Weeds
Act, 1900,” in the district under the jurisdiction of each
respectively:—

Patea Borough Council .. Gorse and broom.
Wairoa County Council .. Gorse.
Otaki Road Board .. Bathurst burr, burdock, fennel,
giant burdock, gorse, ox-eye
daisy, and ragwort.
Little River Road Board .. Ragwort, star thistle, milk
thistle.
Mount Roskill Road Board .. Bathurst burr, broom, giant
burdock, gorse, hakea, and
ragwort.

Notice fixing Closing-hours of Shops in the Borough of
Pahiatua.

WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a ma-
jority of the occupiers of all the shops in the
Borough of Pahiatua (not being one of the districts men-
tioned in section 3 of “The Shops and Offices Act, 1904”),
has been forwarded to me, desiring that all shops in the
borough shall be closed at 6 o’clock in the evening on
each day of the week from Monday to Friday inclusive, and at
9 o’clock in the evening on Saturdays: And whereas the
Pahiatua Borough Council has certified that the signatures
to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of
all the shops within the borough:

Now, therefore, I, James McGowan, acting for and on
behalf of the Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 21
of the said Act, do hereby direct that from and after the
1st day of July, 1905, all shops in the Borough of Pahiatua
shall be closed at 6 o’clock in the evening on Mondays,
Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and at 9 o’clock in the
evening on Saturdays. The weekly half-holiday is on Wed-
esday from 1 o’clock in the afternoon.

Authorising the Laying-off of the Main Streets in the Town-
ship of Rangiotu of a Width of 66 ft.

Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 10th June, 1905.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon
me by section 2 of “The Towns Main Streets Act,
1902,” I, Thomas Young Duncan, Minister of Lands, do
hereby authorise the laying-off of the main streets in the
Township of Rangiotu, Wellington Land District, of a
width of 66 ft., instead of 99 ft. as prescribed by section 17
of “The Land Act, 1892.”
