THE following special order, made by the Hawera Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

HAWERA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.—Loan of £4,000 at 5 per Cent. for Five Years.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Hawera Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest at 5 per cent. and other charges on a loan of £4,000, authorised to be raised by the Hawera Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of improving the headworks of the borough water-supply, the said Hawera Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Hawera; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Certified to be a true copy of a resolution adopted at a special meeting of the Hawera Borough Council held on Wednesday, 21st December, 1904, and confirmed at a meeting held on Friday, 20th January, 1905.

Special Order making Special Rate.—Loan of £172 1s. 2d. at 4 per Cent. for Forty-one Years.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Hawera Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £172 1s. 2d. (being an amount additional on a loan of £3,948 already borrowed), authorised to be raised by the Hawera Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of drainage-extension, the said Hawera Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/40d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Hawera; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE following special order, made by the Oroua County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

OROUA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Oroua County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest, at 4 per cent. per annum, and other charges on a loan of £750, authorised to be raised by the Oroua County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing for the construction of works set forth in the proposal giving notice of the intention to raise such loan, as advertised in the Feilding Star, the said Oroua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable properties, comprising the whole of the area taken over by the late Manchester Road District on the 1st April, 1902, from the Feilding Borough and now included in the Oroua County, as published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 27th March, 1902, page 732; also Allotments 48 and 49, Manchester A, Blocks IX., X., Oroua Survey District, to be called Kimbolton and Makino Roads Special-rating District No. 22 Loan: and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, to be payable at the Council’s office, Feilding, half-yearly on the 1st days of April and October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing special order was duly made in accordance with the provisions of “The Counties Act, 1886,” and its amendments.

THE following special order, made by the Blenheim Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

BOROUGH OF BLENHEIM.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and their respective amendments, the Blenheim Borough Council resolves as follows: That, for the purposes of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,500, authorised to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and their respective amendments, for the purpose of filling up Collie’s Hollow and Lock-up Creek, placing drains therein, and doing all work incidental thereto, the said Blenheim Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5/15d. in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Blenheim, as constituted by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900”; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of September and the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-two years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I, William Henry Macey, Mayor of the Borough of Blenheim, do hereby certify that the foregoing is a copy of a special order duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on the 2nd day of December, 1904, and duly confirmed at a meeting of the said Blenheim Borough Council held on the 6th day of January, 1905.
