In the matter of the Otago Sawmilling Company (Limited).

At an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company, duly convened, and held at the registered office of the company, Number 160A, Moray Place, Dunedin, on the 8th day of November, 1904, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed:—

“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily.”

And at the same meeting Neil Macleod Gunn, of Dunedin, Accountant, was appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1903”; and in the matter of the Vacuum Brand Company (Limited).

Notice is hereby given that the creditors of the above-named company are required, on or before the 22nd day of March, 1905, to send their names and addresses, and the particulars of their debts or claims, and the names and addresses of their solicitors (if any), to Robert Arthur Mathewson, of Dunedin, Accountant, the Liquidator of the said company, and, if so required by notice in writing from the said Liquidator, are personally or by their solicitors to come in and prove their said debts or claims at such time and place as shall be specified in such notice, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts or claims are proved.

Notice is hereby given, in pursuance of section 230 of “The Companies Act, 1903,” that a General Meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at the offices of Messieurs A. J. McTavish and Co., No. 7 Victoria Street, Wellington, on Friday, the 3rd day of February, 1905, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the assets of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidators, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidators thereof shall be disposed of.

“THE SLAUGHTERING AND INSPECTION ACT, 1900.”


We, Read, Gillespie, and Company, hereby give notice —(1) That the Thames Borough Council, being the controlling authority within the meaning of the said Act, has delegated to us its powers under the said Act for the establishment and control of the abattoir for the Borough of Thames, and for that portion of the Thames County comprised in the Parawai, Kauaeranga, and Waiotahi Ridings of the said county; (2) that our slaughterhouse at Parawai, Thames, has, in pursuance of such delegation, been duly registered under No. Ab. 5 as the abattoir within the meaning of the said Act for the said borough and said portion of said county; (3) that the following scale of charges has been approved of by His Excellency the Governor, and shall, on and after the date of the publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette, be the scale of charges for the stallage and slaughter of stock at and in the said abattoir, in lieu and instead of the scale contained in the notice dated the eighteenth day of September, 1902, signed by the Town Clerk of the said borough, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the twenty-fifth day of September, 1902—namely:—

Stallage of Stock, per Day. Slaughter of Stock.

" sheep or lamb .. 0 1

It is also hereby notified that, in accordance with the regulations duly made for the management of the aforesaid abattoir, all orders for the slaughtering of stock in the said abattoir on each day must be delivered to the manager at the abattoir at or before the hour of nine o’clock in the forenoon.
