WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” “The Tramways Act, 1894,” and “The Public Works Act, 1894.”
WHEREAS in the execution of a certain public work—namely, the construction of the Wellington City Corporation Tramways—the building known as the carshed has been erected on part of the Town Belt, and the land so occupied has not been taken in the manner required by law: Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Wellington proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to take for the purposes of the said public work the lands described in the schedule hereto, which are required to be taken for the said work. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk of the said Council, situate at the corner of Cuba Street and Mercer Street, in the said city, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such lands, set forth the same in writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting, duly convened, and held at the registered office of the company at No. 150, Adelaide Road, Newtown, Wellington, on Tuesday, the 19th day of April, 1904, the following resolution was duly passed: “That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily.” It was further resolved that Mr. THOMAS RALPH be appointed Liquidator.
