Requisition as to taking Land compulsorily under "The
Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900," and its
Amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended, on behalf
of His Majesty, to take compulsorily, under the provisions of "The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act,
1900," and its amendments, the land the acreage, description, and classification of which, as also the names and
addresses of the owners of such land, are specified in the
Schedule hereto; and every owner of the land, and also
every other person having any estate or interest therein, is
hereby required to serve their respective claims for compensation on the Minister of Lands, in the form and manner
and within the period provided by the said Acts.

SCHEDULE.

KINLOCH ESTATE.

  1. ACREAGE and Description.-All that parcel of land,
    situate in the Land District of Canterbury, containing by
    admeasurement 5,000 acres, more or less, being Rural Sections 166, 2040, 2042, 3299, 3300, 18616, 18617, 18627, 18650,
    18651, 18652, 18653, 18654, 18655, 23006, 28838, 18897,
    18898, 18899, 19179, 19182, 21997, 21998, 22001, 22942,
    663, 931, 1457, 1111, 1112, 1280, 1929, 722, 2475, 19180,
    19181, part 18615, and part 18618, Blocks I., V., VI., IX.,
    and X., Akaroa Survey District, and Rural Sections 2039,
    12613, 35039, 35040, part 18615, and part 18618, Block VIII.,
    Ellesmere Survey District: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.G. 19314B, deposited
    in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at
    Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
    edged with red.

  2. The Minister's Classification of the Land.-Second-class, 4,150 acres ; third-class, 850 acres.

  3. The land intended to be taken is the whole of the
    owner's estate.

  4. The acreage and the Minister's classification of the
    whole estate is: Acreage, 5,000 acres, more or less; Minister's classification-second-class, 4,150 acres; third-class,
    850 acres.

  5. The registered owner in fee-simple is John Fletcher
    Buchanan, sheep-farmer, of Little River, Christchurch, New
    Zealand.
