to be an Inspector of Weights and Measures, under “The Weights and Measures Act, 1903,” for the County of Grey and the Boroughs of Greymouth and Brunner, vice Sergeant Paul Shirley.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to accept, under clause 17, (3), “The Defence Act Amendment Act, 1900,” the services of the undermentioned Defence Rifle Cadet Volunteer corps :
No. 2 Company, Invercargill High School Defence Rifle Cadet Volunteers,
with headquarters at Invercargill, which are to be attached to No. 2 Battalion, Otago Defence Rifle Cadet Volunteers, and designated F Company, as from 21st March, 1905.

It is hereby certified that the Council of the Borough of Hawksbury did, at a special meeting held on Monday, 27th February, 1905, pass a resolution to act as a special order, “That the wards of the Borough of Hawksbury be abolished”; the same to come into force on the 1st day of April, 1905.
It is further notified that the said special order was duly advertised according to law, and was confirmed at a special meeting held on the 27th day of March, 1905.
