Rifle Volunteer Corps changed to Mounted Rifle Volunteers, and Designation of Corps altered.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve, under clause 6, (1), of “The Defence Act, 1886,” of the Kawakawa Rifle Volunteers being changed from an infantry into a mounted corps, with the consequent alteration in designation from “Kawakawa Rifle Volunteers” to “Kawakawa Mounted Rifle Volunteers,” with headquarters at Kawakawa, and with effect from the 21st February, 1905.
