Arrangements for First Election, &c., Sefton-Ashley Drainage Board.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint

GEORGE SAYCE HICKMAN,

of Balcairn, to be Returning Officer for the purpose of conducting the first election of five members of the Board of Trustees for the Sefton-Ashley Drainage District, as constituted under “The Land Drainage Act, 1893”; also to appoint Friday, the 22nd day of December, 1905, to be the date, and the Rink Buildings, at Sefton, to be the place, for holding such first election; and also to appoint Friday, the 29th day of December, 1905, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, to be the time, and the said Buildings, at Sefton, to be the place, at which the first meeting of Trustees shall be held.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve, under “The Volunteer Drill-sheds and Lands Act, 1888,” and “The Volunteer Drill-sheds and Lands Trustees Validation Act, 1890,” the following appointments:—

Brevet-Colonel RICHARD HUTTON DAVIES, C.B., New Zealand Militia, Officer Commanding Auckland District;

Major HORACE DORSETT ECCLES, No. 3 Battalion, Auckland Mounted Rifle Volunteers; and

Captain HENRY CHARLES NUTSFORD, Otamatea Mounted Rifle Volunteers,

as Trustees of the Paparoa and Pahi Volunteer Drill-shed and Drill-ground Reserves.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve, under “The Defence Act, 1886,” “The Defence Act Amendment Act, 1900,” and regulations thereunder, of the appointment of

Brevet-Colonel RICHARD HUTTON DAVIES, C.B., New Zealand Militia, Officer Commanding Auckland District;

Lieutenant-Colonel WILLIAM DOUTHWAITE HOLGATE, No. 1 Battalion, Auckland Mounted Rifle Volunteers; and

Major JOHN RANKEN REED, 1st Battalion, Auckland Infantry Volunteers,

as Trustees of the Penrose Rifle Range Reserve, being portion of Allotments Nos. 5 and 6 of Section No. 17, Suburbs of Auckland; Blocks I., V., and VI. of the Otahuhu Survey District, in the Auckland Land District, containing 100 acres, more or less.

Appointments to date from 17th November, 1905.

as Trustees of the Duntroun Volunteer Drill-shed Reserve.
