Declaring Roads in Waipawa County to be County Roads.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirty-first day of January, 1905.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE R. J. SEDDON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be county roads.

SCHEDULE.

RUANUI ROAD.

ALL that road in the Hawke's Bay Land District, known as Ruanui Road, commencing at its junction with Ormondville–Waikopiro Road, and running generally in a south-westerly direction to the south-west boundary of Section 21, Block X., Takapau Survey District, the whole of the said road being a distance of two miles and a half or thereabouts: as the same is delineated on the plan marked R. 5161xx, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured crimson lake and marked AB.

PAEROA ROAD.

All that road in the Hawke's Bay Land District, known as Paeroa Road, commencing at its junction with Ormondville–Waikopiro Road, and running generally in a south-westerly direction to the north-west corner of Section 30, Block XIV., Takapau Survey District, the whole of the said road being a distance of two miles or thereabouts: as the same is delineated on the plan marked R. 5161xx, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured crimson lake and marked CD.

MANGAPUAKA ROAD.

All that road in the Hawke's Bay Land District, known as Mangapuaka Road, commencing at the southern corner of Section 1, Block III., Mangatoro Survey District, and running generally in a south-easterly direction to the boundary of Section 2, Block II., Mangatoro Survey District, Nga-paeruru Block, the whole of the said road being a distance of two miles or thereabouts: as the same is delineated on the plan marked R. 5161xx, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured crimson lake and marked EF.

Declaring Parts of Willcock's Road, Takaka County, a County Road.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirty-first day of January, 1905.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE R. J. SEDDON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that those portions of Willcock's road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that part of Willcock's Road, 50 links wide, in the Nelson Land District, Takaka County, commencing at a point on the south-eastern boundary of Section 4 of Block XI., Waitapu Survey District, the said point being 749·9 links from the southernmost corner of the aforesaid section, and proceeding in a northerly direction a distance of 1 mile 50 chains, or thereabouts through the said Section 4, and also through Section 1 of Block XI., Waitapu Survey District, to a point on the south-western boundary of Section 204 of Square 13 in the aforesaid block and survey district, the said point being 739·7 links from its southernmost corner: as the same is delineated on the plan marked R. 1203, deposited in the Office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Also all that part of Willcock's Road, 50 links wide, in the Nelson Land District, Takaka County, commencing at a point on the south-western boundary of Section 204 of Square 13, in Block XI., Waitapu Survey District, the said point being 878·8 links from the southernmost corner of that section, and proceeding in a north-westerly direction a distance of 15 chains or thereabouts through Section 1 of Block XI., Waitapu Survey District, to a point on the aforesaid south-western boundary of the aforesaid Section 204 of Square 13, in Block XI., Waitapu Survey District, the said point being 1900·8 links from the beforementioned southernmost corner of that section: as the same is delineated on the plan marked R. 1203, deposited in the Office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Time for Preparation of Roll under Gold Duty Abolition and Mining Property Rating Act extended, Lake County.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirty-first day of January, 1905.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE R. J. SEDDON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS, the County Council of the Lake County having failed, through misadventure, to prepare the valuation roll of mining property in the Lake County in the month of January, one thousand nine hundred and five, as required by section seven of “The Gold Duty Abolition and Mining Property Rating Act, 1890,” it is expedient to extend the time for preparing the said roll, as hereinafter mentioned:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in order that the purpose and intent of “The Gold Duty Abolition and Mining Property Rating Act, 1890,” may have effect, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Rating Act, 1882,” which said Act is incorporated with the first above-mentioned Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby extend the time for the preparation of the valuation roll for the Lake County under “The Gold Duty Abolition and Mining Property Rating Act, 1890,” until the twenty-eighth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and five.

Regulations for the Conduct of the Election of Members of the Victoria College Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirty-first day of January, 1905.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE R. J. SEDDON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN exercise of the power vested in him by “The Victoria College Act, 1897,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby, in respect of the regulations made by Order in Council under the said Act on the twenty-ninth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight, make the alterations set forth in the Schedule hereto; and with the like advice and consent doth prescribe that this Order shall come into force on the date of the first publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

AMENDMENT OF REGULATIONS UNDER “THE VICTORIA COLLEGE ACT, 1897.”
