FORD’S ROAD.

Also all that road in the Land District of Canterbury and in the County of Waimate, starting from Champion’s Road at the north-east corner of Section 2, Block XI., Waimate Survey District, and extending in a north-westerly direction along Section 2 to the north-west corner of Section 1, Block XI., Waimate Survey District, a distance of 18 chains or thereabouts.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 5161m, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Declaring Roads in Hanmer Springs Township, Amuri County, to be County Roads.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirty-first day of January, 1905.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE R. J. SEDDON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the roads in Amuri County described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be county roads.


SCHEDULE.

AMURI ROAD.

ALL that road called Amuri Road, in the Land District of Canterbury and in the County of Amuri, starting from the main road to Christchurch via Culverden at the south-west corner of Section 1, Block IV., Hanmer Springs Township, and extending in a northerly direction until it joins the main road to Jollie’s Pass at the north-west corner of Section 1, Block I., Hanmer Springs Township, a distance of 25 chains or thereabouts.

CHELTENHAM STREET.

Also all that road called Cheltenham Street, in the Land District of Canterbury and in the County of Amuri, starting from Amuri Road at the south-west corner of Section 2, Block I., and north-west corner of Section 3, Block II., both in Hanmer Springs Township, and extending in an easterly direction until it joins Scarborough Terrace, at the south-east corner of Section 7, Block I., and north-east corner of Section 12, Block II., both in the Hanmer Springs Township, a distance of about 10 chains.

HARROWGATE STREET.

Also all that road called Harrowgate Street, in the Land District of Canterbury and in the County of Amuri, starting from the Amuri Road at the south-west corner of Section 7, Block II., and north-west corner of Section 8, Block III., both in the Hanmer Springs Township, and extending in an easterly direction until it joins Scarborough Terrace at the south-east corner of Section 18, Block II., and north-east corner of Section 22, Block III., both in the Hanmer Springs Township, a distance of 10 chains or thereabouts.

LEAMINGTON STREET.

Also all that road called Leamington Street, in the Land District of Canterbury and in the County of Amuri, starting from Amuri Road at the south-west corner of Section 12, Block III., and north-west corner of Section 1, Block IV., both in the Hanmer Springs Township, and extending in an easterly direction until it joins Scarborough Terrace at the south-east corner of Section 17, Block III., in the Hanmer Springs Township, a distance of 10 chains or thereabouts.

BATH STREET.

Also all that road called Bath Street, in the Land District of Canterbury and in the County of Amuri, starting from the main road to Christchurch at the south-west corner of Section 10, Block IV., and north-west corner of Section 1, Block V., both in the Hanmer Springs Township, and ex-

tending in an easterly direction to the south-east corner of Section 12, Block IV., and north-east corner of Section 4, Block V., both in the Hanmer Springs Township.

SCARBOROUGH TERRACE.

Also all that road called Scarborough Terrace, in the Land District of Canterbury and in the County of Amuri, starting from the eastern extremity of Leamington Street at the south-east corner of Section 17, Block III., Hanmer Springs Township, and extending generally in a northerly direction until it joins the main road to Jollie’s Pass at the north-east corner of Section 11, Block I., Hanmer Springs Township.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 5161cc, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

ALL that road in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, known as Mill-stream Road, situated in the County of Weber, commencing at a point near the southern boundary of Section 1, Block 3, Weber Survey District, and running in a north-westerly direction to the southern boundary of Section 3, Block 10, Weber Survey District, the whole of the said road being a distance of 60 chains or thereabouts: as the same is delineated on the plan marked R. 5161z5, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, thereon coloured pink, and marked AB.

TAHUOKARETU ROAD.

All that road in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, known as Tahuokaretu Road, situated in the County of Weber, commencing at a point marked A on the boundary between Sections 1 and 2, Block 18, Weber Survey District, and running generally in a north-easterly direction to a point where it junctions with Te Awaputahi Road at the southern corner of Section 1, Block 11, Weber Survey District, the whole of the said road being a distance of 66 chains or thereabouts: as the same is delineated on the plan marked R. 5161z5, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, thereon coloured pink, and marked AA.

TE AWAPUTAHI ROAD.

All that road in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, known as Te Awaputahi Road, situated in the County of Weber, commencing at a point where it junctions with Tahuokaretu Road at the southern corner of Section 1, Block 11, Weber Survey District, and running in an easterly direction for a distance of 40 chains to a point where it junctions with Birch Road, on the south-west corner of Section 2, Block 11, Weber Survey District; commencing again at a point marked A on the southern end of Section 1, Block 12, Weber Survey District, and running in a north-easterly direction to the point in the Educational Reserve marked B, the whole distance being—junction Tahuokaretu to junction Birch Road, 39 chains; A to B, 1 mile 73 chains; total, 2 miles 32 chains, or thereabouts: as the same is delineated on the plan marked R. 5161z5, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, thereon coloured pink, and marked XY, AB.
