A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the twenty-third section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time to time establish and define, abolish, alter, or reconstitute local districts for the sale or disposal of land, and in like manner from time to time may appoint Land Officers or other persons for conducting sales of land in such local districts, and for receiving applications for the sale, letting, disposal, or occupation of Crown lands, and for generally carrying into effect the provisions of the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

EDWARD DARKER MOSLEY

to be the Land Officer for conducting sales of land and for receiving applications for the sale, letting, and disposal or occupation of Crown lands, and for generally carrying into effect the provisions of the said Act, within the Westport Local Land District as established by Proclamation dated the thirty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and four, and published in Gazette No. 2 of the 12th January, 1905.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirty-first day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and five.

Declaring Roads in Annan Settlement, Amuri County, to be County Roads.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirty-first day of January, 1905.

Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE R. J. SEDDON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the roads in Amuri County described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be county roads.


SCHEDULE.

HAWKESWOOD ROAD.

ALL that deviation of the road called the Hawkeswood Road, in the Land District of Canterbury and in the County of Amuri, starting at a point about 700 links from the south-west corner of Section 18, in the Annan Settlement, Block XIII., Waiau Survey District, and extending generally in an easterly direction a distance of about 22 chains until it rejoins the Hawkeswood Road between Sections 18 and 28, Block XIII., Waiau Survey District.

BOURNE ROAD.

Also all that road called the Bourne Road, in the Land District of Canterbury and in the County of Amuri, starting from the Hawkeswood Road at the south-east corner of Section 16, Block XIV., Waiau Survey District, and extending in a northerly direction along the eastern boundary of Section 16 to its north-east corner, a distance of one mile or thereabouts.

TONGUE ROAD.

Also all that road called the Tongue Road, in the Land District of Canterbury and in the County of Amuri, starting at the Lottery River, at the south-west corner of Section 12, Block X., Waiau Survey District, and extending in a northerly direction until it joins the Kaikoura Road at the south-east corner of School Reserve 3650, Block VI., Waiau Survey District, a distance of two miles and a half.

Also all that road in the Land District of Canterbury and in the County of Amuri, starting from the Kaikoura Road between Sections 8 and 9, Block X., Waiau Survey District, and extending in a north-easterly direction a distance of about 35 chains or thereabouts.

Also all that road in the Land District of Canterbury and in the County of Amuri, starting from the Hawkeswood Road at a point on the north-eastern side of the Waiau Township, and about 800 links from the north-eastern corner thereof, in Block XIII., Waiau Survey District, and extending in a southerly direction through Section 28; thence in a south-easterly direction through Sections 27 and 26, Block XIII., Waiau Survey District; thence in an easterly and north-easterly direction through Sections 25 and 24, Block XIV., Waiau Survey District, until it joins the Hawkeswood Road at the north-east corner of Section 24, Block XIV., Waiau Survey District.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 5161ca, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Declaring Bladier’s Road, Westland County, a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirty-first day of January, 1905.

Present:

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.


SCHEDULE.

BLADIER’S ROAD.

ALL that road in the Westland Land District, Westland County, known as Bladier’s Road, commencing at its junction with the Kokatahi Road, at the south-west corner of Section 2150, Kanieri Survey District, and proceeding south-west to the north-eastern boundary of Section 1, Kokatahi Settlement, and thence in a south-easterly direction to the north-west corner of Section 4, Kokatahi Settlement, being a distance of 1 mile 60 chains or thereabouts: as the said road is delineated on the plan marked R. 5161¹⁴, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and coloured red thereon.

MOORE’S ROAD.

ALL that road in the Land District of Canterbury, in the County of Waimate, starting from the Waimate Main North Road at the south-east corner of Section 9 and south-west corner of Section 10, Block XV., Waimate Survey District, and extending in a north-westerly direction between the two
