Special Order made by the Council of the County of Ekatahuna.

THE following special order, made by the Ekatahuna County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

EKETAHUNA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Ekatahuna County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing for the interest and other charges on a loan of £200, authorised to be raised by the Ekatahuna County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of building a suspension traffic-bridge over the Mangatainoka River, to give access to Sections 19, Block IV., Tararua Survey District, and 21, Block I., Mangaone Survey District, the said Ekatahuna County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Mangatainoka River Suspension-bridge Special-rating District, comprising Section 19, Block IV., Tararua Survey District, and Section 21, Block I., Mangaone Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years (at 4 per centum per annum), or until the loan is fully paid off. The cost of raising the loan and the interest for the first year to be paid out of the loan.

I hereby certify that the above special order was made by resolution at a special meeting of the Ekatahuna County Council held on the 8th day of October, 1904, and confirmed at a special meeting held on the 12th day of November, 1904.

THE following special order, made by the Temuka Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

BOROUGH OF TEMUKA.

Special Order making Special Rate.—Loan of £250, Water-supply and Drainage.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the Acts amending the same respectively, the Council of the Borough of Temuka hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £250, authorised to be raised by the Temuka Borough Council under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the amendments thereof, and being 10 per centum additional on loan of £2,500 raised for the purpose of establishing a water-supply and drainage scheme, the said Temuka Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/16d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Temuka lying within the boundaries of that portion of the borough affected by the said water-supply and drainage scheme; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in one sum on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I, Thomas Buxton, Mayor of the Borough of Temuka, do hereby certify that the foregoing is a copy of a special order duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Temuka Borough Council held on the 24th day of October, 1904, and duly confirmed at a special meeting of the said Temuka Borough Council held on the 23rd day of November, 1904.

In testimony whereof the common seal of the Temuka Borough Council has been hereunto affixed.

Special Order made by the West Winton River Board.

THE following special order, made by the West Winton River Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans’ Act, 1901.”

WEST WINTON SPECIAL RATE.

THE West Winton River Board hereby notify that they did propose and adopt as a special order the following resolution, at a meeting held for the purpose in their office, Park Street, Winton, at half-past 7 o’clock on Saturday evening, 26th November, 1904, and directed the seal of the Board to be affixed thereto:—

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The River Boards Act, 1884,” the West Winton River Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest, at 4 per cent., and other charges on a loan of £100, authorised to be raised by the West Winton River Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the construction of drainage-works in the district, the said West Winton River Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/10d. in the pound upon the rateable unimproved valuation of all rateable property of the West Winton River District, comprising Sections 1 to 7 and 30 to 37, Block I., East Winton, and Sections 1 to 3, eastern three-quarters of Sections 4 to 10, Block VI., Sections 9 to 12, west half of Sections 3 to 8, and west quarter of Section 13, Block I., and east half of Sections 15, 16, 21, 22, 27, 28, and 33, Block VII., all of Winton Hundred; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable at the Board’s office, Park Street, Winton, to the Treasurer, half-yearly, on the 15th day of January and the 15th day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
